Pretty sure I remember blood and nudity but it has been years I definitely remember people being ripped apart/ eaten by demons...
Are you talking about the new berserk or the old one? Also I have been considering just reading the manga perhaps.
Anyways those are 2 of the least important aspects in an show I appreciate nudity and gore as much as the next guy in certain situations at least.
But I will gladly take an intense story with out either over a super bloody/ sex filled show with a terrible plot. Berserk and Gits both have interesting plots IMO.

If you don't mind a little plot spoilers here is a loose overview:
It is about 2 guys who die and are duplicated by a super computer to partake in a game of sorts where they have to hunt down and kill aliens
It is a very violent and sexual show I believe, I remember really enjoying the sci fi aspect of it too

Your missing out, there is a lot of really amazing obscure anime. Pretty much every one of the craziest/ deepest/ most original shows/ films I have seen have been anime.
There is a lot of crap too just like with everything these days but I have seen so many beautiful/ deep psychedelic concepts in random anime
Been meaning to check out the new JoJo series that has been coming out. The original is pretty interesting, had a friend recommend it to me.

Sadly a few of the best anime I have seen are only subbed and may never get dubbed. I know some people don't mind but I hate reading as I watch crazy shows.
It really throws a wrench in the immersion I get when an incredible story sucks me in and I can't stop binging it

Just wanted to say I finished gantz and while some of the anime is alright it has a lot of downsides.
The ending sucked and apparently (no surprise) the manga is much better and also has near 400 chapters! I may start reading it soon.
I really liked parts of the story, some of the most brutal social commentary I have seen in a long time. It is a very sadistic show though and even makes fun of it in the first few episodes. Really though it just shows a lot of fucked up sadistic humans as social commentary which is pretty powerful. Stuff like hobo hunting or people just standing by and or taking pictures when others die instead of helping
It gets pretty damn dark, I am excited to read the manga though as I really like parts of the plot and characters which are better in the manga.

The ending was just super vague. I also read almost the entire second season is filler.
They also apparently left out some important characters from the manga.
If you think gantz is dark stay away from Elfin Lied
I read about how dark that was as a kid and stupidly watched it with a friend... Very traumatic to say the least.
