Walking around the woods
    #23830461 - 11/13/16 08:34 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

This is an informal id request. I've seen these before and usually don't have enough interest in Agaricus species' to pursue which exact one I've found. I think this is Agaricus Augustus. Had a sweet anise scent that was almost aromatic and it was growing under monterey pine on a grassy knoll. Sometimes I have a hard time differentiating between the "soapy" scent and the sweet/anise scent if I haven't had them side by side in a while.

Those are likely Agaricus augustus in my opinion, maybe wait for a second opinion. They should smell like almonds, if you can't smell very well ask someone else around you to smell them.

I would wait for someone else to chime in before you eat them, especially if you can't smell. Nice find.
