Anyone else into Synthesizers?

I got my first one a few years back, an old Roland JX-8P which I really love. I don't use it all the time but I really enjoy messing around with it.
Recently I got a cheap Akai Timberwolf which is a really simple Analog synth. I liked how it sounded but it is lacking a lot of important/ useful features.
So I returned it and am now considering buying another 200-400$ synth. My top 2 choices are:
Novation Ultranova (Or maybe a mininova)

The ultranova has a lot of cool features and while it is a VA (virtual analog) synth is sounds pretty decent and is very versatile.
It has a built in vocoder which I have always wanted to try. The top center line of knobs are touch sensitive modulation controls that tweak the sound just by touching them and you can use multiple at once. Here is a video of someone playing one:
Jamming on Novation Ultranova by S4K Team
And my other top choice, the Waldorf Streichfett:

This is just a sound module meant to replicate oldschool string synths. It is much less versatile but sounds fantastic!
Waldorf Streichfett Demo
I really love how the Strichfett sounds but as it doesn't cost much less then the Ultra Nova and is way more focused/ limited I am leaning towards a nova.
Any thoughts? I am tempted to buy an Ultranova ASAP or once I sell some more extra gear.

I have slowly been getting into ELP, I love prog rock but never got into them for some reason. Could be becouse the only album I have is Brain Salad Surgery
Check out this crazy touch sensitive synth keyboard:
ROLI Seaboard RISE 49 - David Gilmour - 5 A.M. - Kashyap Iyengar
It can do convincingly realistic guitar sounds due to all the touch controls giving it a real "instrument like feel"

When they go down in price I intend to snag one eventually.

I have an old Yamaha synth something like this (probably this is not the exact model.) Haven't fired it up in a while but it has a great sound.

My dad got me the cheapest Casio they had. He likes some of the music I recorded. My dad has been playing almost 75 years and was a professional musician for many of those years.

I'm looking to get a Roland SPD-SX sampling pad to add to my acoustic drum set once i can find a good deal on one. My buddy put Ableton live 9 cracked version on my laptop for me a while back, so that'll be ready to go along with it. It looks like it's gonna be a pretty difficult learning process tho since i don't have much of a programming background

I'd hold out for the Korg Monolog (not the Minilog) coming out next month. It's monophonic but it has a nice step-sequencer and a much better sound.

Instead of either of them? I am not huge on monophonic stuff really, my Roland JX-8P has a mono mode I rarely use
The Novation Ultranova has so many features it is insane and I can live with it being digital. That seems like the most versatile/ best choice IMO.

I bought that Almost went for an uncracked one for 35$ more but as I will be using it with the editor mostly I imagine the cracked screen won't matter.
The extra $ was enough for me to get a flanger pedal I have been eying:

Not usually huge on line 6 but it seems to sound pretty good for not being analog and has a ton of controls I love tweakin, not on meth
Really glad I waited and found a super cheap one as I was eying used ones closer to 350 before I saw any lower ones.
Doesn't come with a mic but I have 2 and hopefully the smaller one will work even though its an old stereo condenser, might have to use it in mono.
Pretty excited, even though it is kind of geared towards EDM stuff it should be great for psychedelic rock and lots of random crazy stuff

Just found a great demo of the UltraNova:
Ultranova patches by Flux
It's a great solid 20 minutes of customized patches most of which sound really cool
Can't wait til mine shows up, seems like it can make a near infinite amount of sounds, really excited to start programming/ recording with it
It may not sound as great as some analog synths that cost several times as much even used but for being digital it seems to have a nice organic sound.
