Are u ready for SuperMoon?
When I went out to look at the moon last night it actually had a halo surrounding it and it was a weak rainbow 360 degrees with all the colors. Amazing! I'm glad I had the chance to witness it.

It has slowly been getting closer and brighter for awhile now and this is the tipping point.
If you took a pic of the moon now compared to at the other side of its cycle when it is the farthest then it would appear more dramatic most likely.
So then it's basically the same as it has been for some time now, only incrementally getting closer to the Earth and it's therefore only even noticeable when looking at a picture of what the moon looked like in the past? Neat.
Also, it's tonight that's supposed to be the tipping point, not last night. But I can't really fault you on that since it's more or less the same.
Supermoons are some new trend to try to get people interested in astronomy by taking a very basic thing and making it out to be something extraordinary. My only hope is that after tonight people will tone it down for the next 68 years. But more likely it will still be repeated all over my fb feed every few months as it has been over the past few years.
Anyway though, enjoy your forced ritual

One time i saw a "moonbow", it was circular around a full moon, and made a whiteish round bow, a ring really. Was amazing.
Im hoping it stops raining tonight for SuperMoon, night #2

Are you guys smoking crack? You can see it everynight the moon is visible.

It is usually visible to some extent but on full moons it can be incredibly pronounced.

If you don't tend to take a lot of psychedelics then I'll bet you need glasses. I used to get rainbow halo's around the moon before I got them as well. Do street lights have rays of light emanating from them when you look at them too?

Lmao yea. I see movement in it too. If I focus on it, it looks like my brain processing each fractal or whatever. If I look without focusing it looks like purple clouds of smoke haha

Sounds like a good plan! What movies are you going to/ did you watch?

I have glasses and they really increase the light beams I can see from lights. When it is raining and the lenses are wet even more so.
Sometimes when I am really stoned walking in the rain at night I can see strange patterns on the lenses that almost look like bacteria. Pretty sure it is just the water droplets refracting light but it looks very trippy/ fractal like.

Moon rainbows are caused by high cloud ice crystals or water droplets.
