No Pour Agar - New Container Type? Too Small? [Link / Pic]

I'm thinking about trying some no-pour agar. I was looking at these little PP5 flip-top clear things. They're only about 2.5" across, but I figure I could PC about 20 at a time, and get a lot of samples going at once, then just use one of these to quickly noc quart jars of grain.
Anyone see a reason why these wouldn't work?
Here's a link
And here's the picture:

Should work if the lid seals tight.

Size looks OK, but if buying them I would look for clearer ones, and cheaper.
Clearer PP is out there. http://www.ampulla.co.uk/product.asp?P_ID=2497&strPageHistory=related

Definitely a good idea to get clear containers. The reason why i never used no pour agar was that it is hard to observe the mycelium. I am very picky with agar dishes.

I feel the same way but the more I throw away the more I'm looking for something between a pastyplate and a petri.

these are my no pour PP bottomed glass topped dishes.
Each glass petri will make 2 as you use the base & tops.

round wold be best alright, you might stack more square ones into the same space but I find round containers are less likely to deform as badly as square shaped containers.

i've been using 8 oz deli containers. you can get a pretty good deal on them on ebay and they're reusable so they last a while.

10 for a dollar.
Those little containers are super handy. I have almost a case of them on hand for another project. If they work for no pour, that's gonna be kick ass.
But with all these more shallow bowls- doesn't the agar coat the inside walls and the inside of the top and make a mess??

That's the kind of container I'd like to use. At least something with a clear lid. What kind of pricing do they have? Or is anything like it available in grocery or discount stores?

i haven't seen them for sale in stores. i had a bunch around the house already from deli purchases but when i needed more i found a seller on ebay who was selling 50 for $17. the ones i got are good but there is one issue with them. they have a depressed area around the edge of the bottom that is wider than it needs to be so you wind using more agar than you need to. if you get the ones made by fabri-kal they have a much narrower depressed area so you don't wind up using as much agar. the difference works out to this: if i make batch of MEA with a little over half a cup of water and 2 teaspoons of agar it will be enough to fill 5 of the plates that i bought but it would be enough to fill 6 plates of the ones made by fabri-kal. for me it's not a big deal because of the other benefits they offer but it is something to be aware of. one downside to the ones made by fabri-kal is that they sometimes come with a lid that has ridges around the edge which have a tendency to form breaks along those ridges. and they are usually more expensive. here's the listing where i got the 50 for $17:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150781320562?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
just do an ebay search if you want to see listings for the fabri-kals.
