I have been practicing my agar and transfers because I want to get into agar, lc and bulk.
Even though I wasnt planning on cultivating P. Azurescens anytime is still made an agar dish of it because I had 6 different MS syringes and 12 petri dishes, so it just made sense.
After my first successful try on agar, I wanted to practice the transfers now. Transfered 4 of the original 6, azurescens were one of them.
At this point I had been doing a little reading on azurescens just to get an idea. It dawned on me that the temps azurescens prefer, were close enough to what we are experiencing here in the NE US.
So for shits and giggles I buried the first azurescens agar "cake" that I transfered from in a spot in my yard that grows alot of fungi. I put a wet piece of cardboard on top, then a stone on top of that to ensure good contact. I have been at it for about 2.5 weeks now, watering it about 3-4 times a week. I really didn't expect anything to happen as this was just a shot in the dark.
I lifted the cardboard up today and this is what I got. Some nice myc growth it looks like

So now that I have some myc, what should I do? I would love to try and fruit some but I have no clue where to begin. Any help would be appreciated.

Go make more agar trafers. Azure are sweet sauce. But keep it simple make a li in same amount and knock up some cheap grain of your choice. Very good practise. Once that is colonized tranfers to cardboard or wood chip in buckets. It doesn't matter if it takes a lot time and is off to side in carport or basement. In early spring trafer you azure buckets outside into a bed of woods chips. Fruit will come on its own.

Forgive the ignorance but what is an "LI"? Same as LC?
I have the petri of Azure that I transfered to, going nicely.
As for the myc outdoors anything I can do to that to try and get some fruits or just leave it alone?
How does mycelium do over the winter?
