And for those that have the patience to play cuphead or dark souls, you are a better man than I. This might help some in cuphead for those that play it. My brother plays the latter but fuck no am I getting into it.

Never played cuphead and do not have much desire to, but gave you a +1 because lots of people whine about Dark Souls' difficulty while few really appreciate that the central lesson of the game is one of patience

certainly not a better man than yourself tho

Cuphead was a beautiful game, but I definitely didn't have the patience for that game. I wish they made an easy mode for it. Actually gave up on Dark Souls recently too. I'm more of a casual type gamer and if I ended up getting mad and throwing the controller across the room then I'm not having fun anymore and it's time for a new game.
I couldn't find any new games worth buying so I picked up GTA V for the 3rd time. Had it on PS3, then PS4, and now for PC.
I also picked up a game that I think is called overcooked. It's a cooking game that is supposed to be good multiplayer. I'm going to try it with my wife sometime even though she sucks a video games. Should still be fun from what I read about it.

Played 'surviving mars' when it was on the xbox free play days... Same devs that made cities skylines I believe.
I was actually pretty impressed for the short time I got to spend with it, I'll probably even buy it.
Fucking complicated tho, a weekend wasn't really enough to get it all figured out, but all in all, a great game... If you like building/management sims this is definitely worth a look for sure 👌
I think it's actually on game pass right now if you have that.

I’ve got roughly 10 hours into “Mordhau”. The 64 player medieval battles are what drew me in, but the games extremely difficult and sometimes it just feels like I’m torturing myself when I play it.

Just watched the preview of it on Steam and the graphics look great. It looks so chaotic and a lot of fun. Going to read some reviews about it from the players of it.
Hope the gameplay isn't to hard. Seems like one of those games where one just wants to get fucked up and attack without to much strategy. Thanks for bringing the game up, hadn't heard of it though it came out this year.

For existing players:
Yes, it is rage inducing. Yes, that sword did hit you. "How?" very easily, you didn't block it. Player with maul wondering how they lost to a player with a training sword? All weapons are different. Each with their own speeds. Yes, some weapons hit harder than others. Some are longer than others and yes that guy on your team blind firing the catapult DOES deserve to die, no one will blame you if that player was to disappear.
You must accept that 80% of the time, you are the one who messed up. There is that 20% due to internet connectivity and sometimes lack of hit registration (Seen players complain but never happened to me).
If you ever struggle when playing, try out third person. You might find yourself surviving 3 vs 1 encounters. Also, try to create custom classes and look at the weapon stats. Also, there is an offline mode you can use to practise against AI.
For potential buyers:
If you anger easily or prone to rage quit, then this game isn't for you.
It is rage inducing and you will question half the hits you take/inflict. But in a 32 vs 32 match it is very chaotic. Allies and enemies charging into one another and then immediately stopping because they really want to protect their Kill Death ratio. That lute player somehow playing Metallica... There is a lot to take in. A load of unique classes as well as a class creation system. You want to have 3 lutes on your person at all time? Go for it.
Gameplay:
The weapon combat is great using your mouse and avatar to make swings hit faster or slower. The various strengths of each weapons. For example, spears are better at stabbing than for swinging. Weapons will collide with surfaces which will stop their momentum. Parry’s and feints are available allowing you to psyche out your opponent. Armour affects your movement and overall damage you can take. Armour is located on three areas: Head, Torso and Legs. There is chambering which I do not fully understand and most of the time I’m to mystified by it to realise I should strike back. You can create your own class which is a ton of fun. The system works by having a limited amount of points and every item costing points dependant on strength of item. There is medical equipment you can carry that helps survivability of you or your team. There’s an engineer class that lets you build fortification (Only in specific areas) and ballistae. Engineer tools are available for create your own class. You also have access to perks when creating classes. Bows I do not personally use. Prefer to swing a sword in a hazardous environment than shoot from a safe distance. There’s probably a lot of information I’ve missed, feel free to fact check me. Extra (Just things):
There are 3 stages you will go through when fighting larger skirmishes with your allies in MORDHAU.
Stage 1: "I'll just use stabs and therefore, won't hurt my allies!"
Stage 2: "Whoops sorry! Didn't mean to hit you there!"
Stage 3: "Why are you standing within axe-swinging distance?!?! Do you have a death wish?!?"
If you see a lute player on the opposite team. Let them pass, they’re likely late for their gathering and deserve the right of way.
Now the player base is divided personality wise. You have the tryhards which every game must be a win otherwise the game is♥♥♥♥♥♥ The casual players who will emote and are more likely to be friendly. You will have the new players who can often be found wondering to parts unknown and endangering the wild life (Other players with their dam catapults). You also get the team killing for horses or siege equipment. I like horse as much as anyone, but I’ll dismount for class with a longer weapon than mine and of course if they… ASK! Yea, no one ask for anything and just expects you to know better? Players complain when they’re killed by anything. I had a guy complain after I killed him with his own throwing axe. Not all players are like this, but you only notice the annoying ones who team kill, disrupt funny moments, etc…

Seems like someone agrees with one of the posters on the Shroomery. Sounds fun though and I am not going to worry about kill/death ratio's. Let chaos reign and I am sure I am going to get slaughtered repeatedly but I have patience.

@ Dorfnob, LuSiD9, & Barnaby.
Mordhau has probably the steepest learning curve of any game that I’ve ever played. It doesn’t matter what load out I use, I just die and die and die. But somehow it’s still fun.
So far I’ve spent most my time in game playing the frontline mode. It’s pure chaos. Battle royale can be fun too.

Ehhh...can't be harder then dark souls. But for multi-player maybe so. Will see soon enough. It just looks fucking nuts but that is what I love about multi-player.
I loved the D-day one since I am reminded of it this day of the anniversary of it. And everyone storming the beach. That was a lot of fun and I love how you never know what people are going to do.

Nothing like being catapulted into space. Have played many of these games but that one I find the most amusing.
Have to get up early. If I start playing I will be up till 2 or 3 a.m and still a bit messed up. So I watch or a talking head play and watch some games.
The one that made me laugh the most is this game where you as a insane mother in a asylum kills her son and the guy playing the game keeps saying, first like WTF, then I am not making this choice and doing this as having played it does do it automatically as the blade comes down two or three times he says it, afraid of what his millions of viewers will think.

I finally decided to play The Elder Scrolls Online because the core game was on sale for $9.99. I also purchased ESO+ for the DLC and craft bag.
I’ve been playing it since I woke up today and I should’ve tried it out a lot sooner because I’m having a lot of fun playing the game.
I was just going to play it for 4 hours today, but I ended up playing it for 12 hours because I didn’t want to leave that world. The only reason I’m not playing it now is because I was getting hungry. After I’m done eating, I’m going to start playing it again. I’m actually thinking I’m going to play it all night tonight because who needs sleep?
Does anyone here still play it? If so, does the shroomey have guild?

Am kind of active sort of, on PC sign in every day for the daily rewards at least lol... and have been slowly leveling up a Necromancer to be an Ice Staff Tank
PC had/has a Shroomery guild, but rarely ever anyone on -- have mostly just been utilizing it as extended bank space
more of my time has been eaten up by Fallout 76 tho, the treadmill of an online game, but mechanically plays more like traditional Bethesda games than ESO
also finally caved and gave the Battle Royale mode a try not enormously impressed, but also suck at PvP thinking of respeccing to a medic build and hiding and helping my team rather than getting into fire fights myself most frustrating thing is that the narrative of the whole new Vault is locked behind the new PvP ranks so have to faceplant my way through a grind to gain access to Terminals and the like to suss out the story
apparently it is really popular tho; or, at least the long-time players are drawn to it and lots of people seem to be trying it for free trial
