There was a 2nd one? I thought there were just re-releases on the DS/3DS.

The New Wolfenstein. It's not my favorite genre, but good game so far.

i assume you're talking about 2 then, i suppose the titles are a bit confusing- isn't Super Mario World considered Yoshi's Island 1? and then you have Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island- but i swear, SMW's island is also Yoshi's Island. but yeah, lol, my bad, i think those title's just confused me.
yeah, the one your playing, the one with the "pastel" look...that's just probably my favorite Mario game, i think one of my favorite games ever. def. the levels are great, especially the fortresses.

I fulfilled my childhood dream of having a kickass PC and a surplus of money to buy all the games I want.
Now I have too many games, and so little time...
Dying Light is running in the background now, I think it's awesome tbh. Fucking intense at times.
Also started playing Total War: Warhammer 2...I like it cause I can drink coffee and smoke cigarettes while playing...haha

I completed Dying Light on PS4, I think I pre-ordered it.
It was really fun playing through it. You can complete the campaign with friends too which is pretty cool.
The parkour mechanics are unmatched, you seamlessly jump and hop from one spot to the next. When you get the hang of it, its crazy what you can run through to get away from the monsters at night.

Yes, Yoshi's Island is actually "Super Mario World 2".

Yeah, following this N64 had Yoshi's Story which certainly was not as good as Yoshi's Island on SNES but was similar enough that it probably constituted a 'sequel' to Yoshi's Island for a lot of us
contributes to the confusion, as Yoshi's Island was the sequel game to Super Mario World 1 and Yoshi's Story is not a formal sequel in a canonical line but had players running around as Yoshis tossing eggs and dealing with babies again and was a side-scroller after the official Mario franchise made the jump to 3D

Already been touched on but yeah SMW2: Yoshi's Island is what I am currently playing to be clear.
Easily my favorite old-school Mario game as well. All the monster designs like the guy on the front cover is some of the cooler stuff to come from Mario games.

yeah, that's my favorite, that's why i had to be sure. it makes me swoon with nostalgia, not many games can do that to me...maybe a few...Gunstar Heroes, Sonic, Mega Man...and Super Mario World 2 (haha, that's what it was) Yoshi's Island.
all the bosses are cool, the level design makes collecting things really fun, the controls are above-par, it's difficult but not too difficult, the music...it's part nostalgia, still, but it's impossible to beat that...those flower guys that make that noise, ha, someone captured that sound to use in one of my favorite electronica albums. it just carries on so well. one of the best ever. doesn't have the mystique of Gunstar Heroes, but still....it's Mario. it's the underrated Mario. and it's in my opinion the best ever.

yeah, i just think that Super Mario World takes place ON Yoshi's Island (see but then again, maybe only World 1 is "Yoshi's Island" in Super Mario World 1- that factoid kinda led to my confusion, i can tell you. but yes, the title's are Super Mario World and then Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island-- it's a bit confusing, i still like talking vidya though. i have a lot of nostalgia for games.
i am still playing Cogmind- it's not like any game i've played, cause i don't play rogue-likes, but i've been wanting to, and this one, Cogmind, is perfect.

yes, see, you know what, i used to get that confused to (between the N64 version and SNES version), again...i dunno why, cause i am usually pretty good with this stuff (names and stuff, well, actually i blank out on shit too, so maybe not the best, but still i don't usually confuse names) but yeah, this has happened before, just like you said, and now it's happening again. sorry all. didn't mean to.
it's just one of the best games ever.

It's more of a prequel to Mario World so labelling it "2" seems off. But it is what it is.

YEAH, see i didn't even think of that (been awhile since i played it) but yeah, duh, Baby Mario is a fucking baby, so no shit sherlock. see why i got confused? oh well, still, my bad. i like 'em all, but the Yosh-Island 2 is just so underrated, for some reason some people just hate it- didn't do anything for them.

Haven't read through all the posts but anybody play prison architect? Its a decent Sim type game. Some of the bugs are irritating as fuck though and some of the logistics can be bit confusing at first too. Ive got about 10 hrs in so far and am still learning a lot. But it's a great time waster. Playing on pc. I guess they have a mobile version too but my phone is too shitty to run it.

I heard its pretty good. I play Rimworld, which is an actual colony simulator and uses the same art guy so it looks the same/similar. I haven't played Prison Architect yet though I want to. I actually was looking for the mobile version last night for something to play on my phone while its slow at work, but it only works on tablets. You have to sort of hack at it to make it work on phones and even then apparently with the screen sizes of phones its a real bitch to click and select things.
I'm playing FTL currently. Friend bought it for me years ago for my birthday and I never checked it out. I'm getting a lot more enjoyment out of the more simple games lately which is odd for me. Normally I like a full on immersive experience with epic graphics and sound, etc.
FTL for those that don't know, is a space rogue-like. The enter game takes place from a top down view of your ship and the enemy ship your fighting at the time. You have crew to control and different rooms in the ship have systems like shields or weapons or oxygen. The basic story is you start in a sector of space with planets/points of interest and a rebel fleet is chasing you for information you have. They slowly take over the entire sector from the left side of the map and each jump from one point to another that you make causes them to move another sector forward until eventually you have to escape the sector or get reamed in battle by them.
Being that its a rogue-like there is no save scumming or anything. If your ship blows up thats it, game over. There are tons of different weapons and systems for your (and the enemies) ships and I've been having a lot of fun with it.

I just looked up Cuphead on youtube and that shit looks ridiculous. The graphics make you think it would be more of an aesthetic game, but it actually looks like a serious shooter.

I haven't played it yet but it's definitely a hardcore rage inducing platform/shooter. Its supposed to be super hard so if you get salty you might wan to avoid hahaha.
The art style and music is amazing however. I've watched a bit of it played on twitch while I did other things. Almost picked it up but decided against because I tend to get bored and frustrated with those kind of games now a days. I know I probably wouldn't beat it.

Well, just found out who my first playthrough is going to be when Civilization 6 expansion comes out :3
Have been finally getting more used to my latest batch of medication, and my focus is slowly improving again so hopefully by the time this drops, will be able to fully enjoy it in the meanwhile, still screwing around with Warhammer 2 tho

I'm currently playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
It's one of the games I got on the winter steam sale.
I'm liking it so far, it's just a prettier and better version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
So, if you like that game, you'll like this one.
After I'm done playing that game, I'm going to start playing Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.
I never played it, but I've heard good things about it.
Has anyone here played it?
