Civilization 6 Skyrim Special Edition Dishonored 2
Civ 6 when I'm ready to think and strategize -- Civ 6 has also presently replaced my time spent in Cities: Skylines when I feel like building for hours.
Skyrim when wanting to just turn my brain off and zone out for a while. It is not quite at the level of Oldrim with 400-500 mods, but have been playing it at a higher resolution with a fairly aggressive ENB+Reshade profile and about 50 mods -- it still performs significantly better and more smoothly than Oldrim ever did for me.

Dishonored 2 finished downloading late, so just put in a couple hours before laying down. The cutscenes and voice acting aggravate me for some unaccountable reason, maybe something in the pacing feels off, but the gameplay so far has been quite enjoyable. Playing as Emily, who has a nice varation of skills reminiscent of the original and a new toolkit to add further diversity to play. Already hate Bloodflies far more than rats though. Have not been really even inconvenienced by them in gameplay, but their buzzing and flitting makes me run around like a fool swinging my sword to kill the oversized mosquitoes.

You Shroomerites go off talking about Planet Coaster and I go "what's that exactly? It sounds interesting."
Now am hopelessly addicted to the damn thing. Have put in a good 50 hours and am trying to unlock all the stars in game before December 7th, because each star counts as an entry in a contest for a gaming computer I probably don't need.
Thanks a lot.

Seriously, this is crazy fun, even if my frames sometimes dip as low as 40 when I'm riding a ride

I dunno, it felt TO creative mode and not enough game mechanic mode. When I play SIM games I need to have a sort of career mode pathway. Like in a city builder I like starting with no city, a tiny bit of money and you have to work up to a big city. With planet coaster it was free build mode (boring) or the missions which gave me an already partially built park? :/
But I dunno, I just couldn't get into it. It didn't help that the interface feels like it requires a certifcation course and test to learn how to use. lol So many damn keybinds and shortcuts you need to know in order to place all the little bits and pieces correctly. Learning photoshop is easier.
It's not just the interface that is dense, the game itself is pretty dense and does not do a lot to communicate how it functions. It has a fair bit in common with Rollercoaster Tycoon though, so was able to get into it fairly easily.
The mode you were actually looking for is Challenge mode -- starts off with an empty park, limited funds, and only a few types of rides unlocked. Have to do research to progress through different rides and slowly unlock the money and technology to build kilometer long roller coasters that turn multi-thousand dollar-per-month profits.
Career mode (the missions) actually seems to be the game's tutorial, which really just goes to demonstrate how thick some of the mechanics are -- some of them are kind of absurd, but others give kind of interesting maps to work with, particularly for someone like me who lacks the real creativity to do more than slap down rides in ways that funnel people through spending, and hope for the best. Having maps with pre-made tunnels and statues to build my roller coasters through and around is a lot more manageable than doing the terrain modifications myself.

Been putting time in on Overwatch while the Lunar New Year event is on. Have unlocked the event skins for Mei, D.Va, and Mercy. Still looking to get Symmetra and Tracer.
Capture the Flag mode is fun, but also annoying due to the frequency of Draws.

Online mode is pretty solid, but can feel a bit grindy building up multiple properties and vehicles. Most of the playstyle is similar to the solo game, but you get to make your own character and have more options for where to live, own garages, or businesses. Some of the game modes can be pretty fun, am fond of the Stunt Races and the Tron-style motorcycle game. Story-wise it is kind of lacking, with just short cutscenes or phone calls setting up missions and such, but there are other people to play with that add life to the city. If playing online is not much your thing, you can play solo sessions with incredibly reduced job availability (can run basic missions and do time trial races to earn cash, but Heists and many combat modes are turned off), or if you have two copies you can play together in a friends only or invite-only server as well.
All the online content is done as FreeLC, but Rockstar apparently makes a ton of money selling cards that you can buy with real cash to get in-game cash -- never tried it, just earn all my funds and unlock things simply by playing.
Personally like to play around, unlock things, then fuck around with them and occasionally make short videos with the Rockstar Editor -- arguably my favourite feature in gaming in recent years.

Well, my most recent batch of anti-depressants my doctor has me trying has totally fucked my concentration so would like to be playing Total War: Warhammer right now either as Isabella Von Carstein, or the Fay Enchantress since both were added in a recent free update but cannot brain well enough to run an empire let alone even do basic battle strategies
so mostly been putting time into GTA Online, which recently got more new Stunt races and is giving double cash for participating in them right now working on saving up enough cash to start a motorcycle club just to also be able to buy the cannabis grow house to have a new set location to film on made a video a while back using the pot farm outside of the city but was not fully satisfied with it
aside from that, a bit of Fallout 4 on Survival mode

Before that was Wasteland 2, which was also great - especially the combat and general atmosphere.
If you are a fan of these two titles, you may also be interested in Tyranny Same company as Pillars of Eternity, and all three games were made by people involved with Fallout 1 and 2 so seconding your recommendations and adding to them

Mass Effect Andromeda no alien bewbs by 15 hours in 0/10
enjoying it so far, the combat is quite solid did my first boss fight against an Architect, the dodge mechanic is really satisfying even if it does feel like they wanted to rip off Soulsborne a bit, the combination of the active combat with the use of cover has a nice interplay the characterization of Ryder is pretty decent as well, like how they play up her inexperience and have her learning her way up
spend a fair bit of time just traveling around, boost jumping up mountains and buildings for views or driving the buggy into strange places
Look pretty consistently ridiculous tho, the character creation menu was so many steps back decided to just embrace the absurdity sent a picture of my character to my mom, since she covered the cost of the copy as a thanks for going and house sitting while she was on vacation she said it would look like me if the eyes were not so large

Will do so, but currently 28 hours in and 26% completion and the main story so far is pretty predictable but it is nice that they tied back to plot devices from the original series despite the whole 700 years later and a galaxy away factor brought back Dark Energy as something meaningful Do like that it introduced the new alien species but mostly prefer running side quests or quests for squad members or just exploring planets and the like
even in watching let's plays of 1-3, my favourite part was the interactions with team members rather than the overarching narrative
enjoy when sci-fi is more focused on just cruising the galaxy and how that impacts the crew of the ship kind of like Firefly

Am not yet playing it, but planning to jump into The Ringed City when it releases in a couple days, but still debating whether to do it on new game+ or roll up a new character to hit it up as fresh as possible

Bioshock, infamous and Deus Ex... And Dragon Age. Even if I'm coming into it hella late. Least waiting serves to prove what is a good game and not overhyped bullshit.
Dragon Age Inquisition was a bit of a mix, a lot of side-quests felt really MMO-like but character building, and playing different races or classes on multiple playthroughs still felt rewarding
If you're fine with a small DLC easter egg spoiler this bit of character interaction from my run through one of the DLC packs pretty much summarizes the overall tone of the game
Divinity: Original Sin has a similar take on tone, but would argue it to be a 'better' game to play and potentially something to put higher on your list to check out if you have not on basis of more interesting quests and exploration but it is mechanically very different being turn-based in combat Plus with Divinity you can run through it on a two player mode, either online or couch-play
Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda are pretty similar Mass Effect improved exploration but toned down party character customization and, of course, Fantasy vs. Sci-Fi

Well, if you prefer medieval fantasy over deep space then going to double down on my suggestion of Divinity:Original Sin but am clearly biased due to deciding to replay it recently while waiting on more content for Divinity: Original Sin 2 so take that as you will

Never played Destiny tho so feedback on that you will have to finds elsewhere

Cities: Skylines
making a new city, with a mind for how the new DLC may be implemented it is coming out in a few days debating on getting it built around Mass Transit systems the Ferry and Blimp options are particularly interesting to me enjoy making touristy cities and it would be nice to have attractions out on an island and ferry or fly people back and forth rather than having to build a ridiculous bridge out into the ocean but the cable cars would likely be fun as well
there have been a number of different previews and stuff so generally aware of what is coming but, knowing me, will likely end up starting over with another new city after getting it just to do the progression mode through and see how they 'fit' into the development of the city find that the means of transport utilized can alter the overall character of a city so having it as a formative piece, rather than put in afterwards, has its own appeal

Mechanically speaking, there were some downgrades to the series most notable is in Keep sieges -- earlier titles had unique cities, but Warhammer has just a wall Still quite enjoy it, though over the past few months concentration on strategy has been shot
Am looking forward to Total War Warhammer 2 coming in September, will likely pick it up in week 1 again was initially frustrated that the factions were being split off into a new title rather than DLC but apparently they are also tweaking mechanics to improve the gameplay things like being able to occupy settlements from any faction, instead of being specifically limited in expansion and alternate win conditions that do not require taking large portions of the map and effectively getting to play 'tall' and focus on key research
just recently ran through a campaign as the Fay Enchantress in Bretonnia felt a little bad burning down the Wood Elf forests, but they started it

This Steam sale, picked up a copy of Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun only put a few hours into it so far, but it is conceptually quite interesting squad-based stealth strategy
aside from that, have been poking around Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 caved and got the Divinity 2 Early Access; it is quite satisfying despite only being the opening portions of the game lots of build diversity, so have been tweaking different starting stats and trying to figure out what my party will be on release
Also looking forward to Game Master mode as a tabletop nerd the game is graphically simple enough that my friends back home should be able to run it would be nice to potentially set up a campaign via skype call or something

the size and scope are a bit intimidating, i don't have those kind of hours to play and who wants to auto resolve everything? i enjoy the game but it seems clunky in some ways.
edit, been busy with heroes of the storm since my friend puled me into the nexus but outside of that not too much. when i get over my xcom2 butthurt i will start it up again, the long war 2 mod still needs tweaking but i can't really get into vanilla after enjoying long war 2.
hopefully will have some more gaming time soon. would enjoy a good rpg to get into.
What are your feelings on the Xcom2 DLC that was announced over E3?

Caved and finally got the Morrowind expansion for ESO, so have jumped back in there rolled up a new character to test the new Warden class the forums say the class is pretty lackluster but the first unlockable skill for me was a healing spell that makes mushrooms grow around whoever is healed with it 11/10, new main
for real tho, am actually quite impressed with where the game has ended up there was a lot of pain-in-the-ass grinding issues during the transition from Veteran ranks to the full Champion system but now that the game is actually open in terms of exploration it works quite pleasingly being able to travel about and hit objectives in any order is nice and really does improve the Elder Scrolls vibe of the game
