tropico 4... can't believe it took me this long to play a tropico game considering how much I love simcity and other building/management games... dying to play cities skylines or whatever, but it would prolly melt my laptop

on xbox one I'm playing;

forza 6, religiously

gta online

fallout 4

the remastered skyrim will probably be next.

Now am hopelessly addicted to the damn thing.  Have put in a good 50 hours and am trying to unlock all the stars in game before December 7th, because each star counts as an entry in a contest for a gaming computer I probably don't need.

Thanks a lot.
:kingcrankey:

Seriously, this is crazy fun, even if my frames sometimes dip as low as 40 when I'm riding a ride :awehigh:

I was hopelessly addicted to rollercoaster tycoon 3 for quite awhile..

not sure if my laptop can handle this one, although it's handling cities skylines just fine on lowered graphic settings just fine even though I thought for sure it would melt it.. maybe I should give it a shot.. wonder if there's a demo available.

I ended up buying planet coaster, playing it for a day then returning it because it just couldn't hold my interest.  I dunno, it felt TO creative mode and not enough game mechanic mode.  When I play SIM games I need to have a sort of career mode pathway.  Like in a city builder I like starting with no city, a tiny bit of money and you have to work up to a big city.  With planet coaster it was free build mode (boring) or the missions which gave me an already partially built park?  :/

I'm kind of the opposite lol... I thoroughly enjoy the creative aspects.. on cities skyines, I do have a city I'm building the real way and it's definitely cool, but I'm having way more fun with the ones I'm building with infinite money and everything unlocked... I love building fully functional, aesthetic utopias for my cims, and also epic amusement parks that I would kill to go to in real life.

I played all the challenges or whatever on rollercoaster tycoon 3 and they were alright, but again I had way more fun starting from a piece of flat land with infinite funds and turning it into a massive, kick ass, aesthetic theme park... that big green flat chunk of land is like a canvas to me

the one problem I had with RCT3 though, and it seems planet coaster has the same issue for a lot of folks, is building a cool coaster people will actually ride... the ones they will actually go on seem kinda bland, even when you keep the gforces realistic it's either too intense or too nauseating.. you basically have to build pathetic little kiddie coasters or they wont ride it

far cry 4 was on last gen?.. I thought it was only on the new consoles.

just finished 'life is strange'. definitely a change of pace, but very well done.. starts off a bit slow and you'll wonder why you're still playing it a few times at first, but by the end it's like.. holy fuck.

again, very, very well done, I highly recommend it. it is in episodic format, but I still recommend it regardless... it's on all consoles and PC, the first season is free, but don't judge it on the first season, you really have to play all the way through to fully appreciate it.

it's one of those interactive movie type games, where your choices can make a big difference on how the story unfolds..

just cause 3... I'm having way too much fun with tethers and booster mines... discovered you can attach em to a cows ass back off and watch em fly, or even better, tether them to the ground and watch em whip around like a bee on a string until they explode... or attaching someones feet to the back of their head then retracting the tethers :lmafo:

picked up 'spintires mudrunner' for xbox one over the holidays, fucking love it, only gripe is the lack of content, but what's there is extremely well done and the developer is promising new content is on the way shortly and is pushing for mod support on the console versions, PC version already has tons of mods, epic maps, trucks and toys to play around with... it's not for everyone, but there's nothing else like it really, especialy on consoles, it's like the dark souls of driving games lol.. very punishing if you fuck up, especially on hardcore mode... I'd post a link but I'm using my xbox for internet right now

also picked up prison architect for xbox, it's fucking great, been playing it for years on pc already but decided to to see how the console version stands up... they did well, I was wondering how the controls would work on a game pad and it actually works quite well, takes a little longer to find what you're looking for in the menues than the PC version and lacks mod support, but other than that it's a spot on port, highly recommend it if you're into business management\builders, one of the best out there in the genre for sure :thumbup:

Red dead 2 is taking up most my gaming time atm.

Also decided to pick up kerbal space program console edition.. Was curious how they did with the controls, and wow, they did what they could I guess lol, I mean it works but dear god is it ever fucking complicated!.. Played the shit out of it on PC for years so I know what I'm doing, but this is like re-learning the entire game.. Definitely well done though, just a super steep learning curve.

Haha me too, I decided to wait on some reviews and glad I did lol, the first one I watched on youtube gave it a 1 outta 10

Complete dumpster fire, I don't think I've read a single good thing about it.

My buddy pre-ordered it because he's an absolute fallout geek, the sound of dissapointment was very real when I asked him how it was... Says it's the worst game he's ever bought, and this guy has been buying at least one game every payday for 20 odd years, he wont even fire it up now because he's afraid it might brick his console.

Just started playing the walking dead on xbox, season 1 is on game pass now, which is awesome because I wasn't sure if I'd like it so I never bought it.

And holy shit is it good!... I couldn't put it down, played the first 3 episodes in one sitting lol

If you don't know, it's one of those interactive story type games, like a choose your own adventure kinda thing, a lot of major choices that change the story as you go and effect how the next episode/season plays out.

I'm not always a fan of this type of game, not even a fan of the whole zombie genre.. But this is really fucking good

Just cause 4... Wow they really shit the bed on this one

I really enjoyed 2-3 but this is pretty bad.

The NPCs look like they are straight outta the ps1 era, story is even worse than usual (not that anyone plays it for that), menu system is god awful and way over confusing, not near as much shit to blow up, graphics are janky as fuck, a major step down from 3, the frame rate during cutscenes is laughably bad, the vehicle physics are still a fucking joke, missions are painfully frustrating and repetitive, unintuitive, clunky controls (even worse on pc apparently)... I could go on lol

RIP just cause, it was fun while it lasted.

I'm glad it's on gamepass, had I paid even 20 bucks for this steaming pile of shit I woulda felt ripped off

Skyrim.

For some reason it was in my xbox 'ready to install' list for months, no idea how it got there as I didn't buy it, but hey, not complaining

I won't lie though, even with mods it feels and looks a bit dated... Still lovin it regardless.

That choose your own beginning mod is great.
