Hi,
I haven't seen this information collated anywhere and want to know if it's worth putting in the forum.
1. Does this already exist? 2. What's the best forum here (it could be more than just gourmet)? 3. Should it be sticky? 4. Submissions and arbitration methods?
I've put in a few examples. I think it needs to be kept uncluttered enough that people can quickly check the species. If there's ambiguity or disagreement they can follow links elsewhere.
Any other views?
Cheers

There's no way I'm downloading a zip file of "pictures" try uploading to the shroomery. Top left of the screen under your name you should see "pics"
Oh and try mushroom hunting and identification forums. This is cult.

Hi,
It isn't a set of pictures it's an excel spreadsheet. I tried to upload it directly but it's not an allowed file type. I also tried as cvs (same issue).
Any suggestions for uploading a spreadsheet?

Here's a screenshot but it's no use as pictures if anyone want to use it the way I intended it.

Ah I see. Looks very neat! I've never seen a spreadsheet done like that, but we do have an epic explanation of most psychoactive species.
https://www.shroomery.org/12230/Psilocybin-Species
There's also identification books that help, but if you're hardcore enough, there will be epic information on all mushrooms here if you use the search function properly
I'm sorry I can't help much more than this

I understand where you're coming from about dodgy downloads. Maybe that could be added to the RFC - how to make available?
I know all the info. is available on the site and wikipedia and a million other places. I was looking for a way of collating it for a simple lookup. This seemed the best way.
I'm doing it for myself so I just wanted to share. Also, the more eyes on it the more reliable it is. Maybe something's excellent eating but lethal when mixed with anti-epileptic drugs, etc.
It's not really to do with psychedelics (but I'd put them in for completeness).
PS this isn't intended to be for identifying species. The assumption is that you know the species but don't know if it's conditionally edible.
Any ideas on how to make this an updatable resource on the site?
