Best dunking water?

Hey there ive got some oyster jars I'll be birthing (or preparing to birth) tomorrow... But there's something I'm curious about. I've used several different water sources, except straighgt tap, over the years and it was all so long ago since I've grown.. I never really recorded the diff between them... But I'm determined to do things the best I can from here out and could use some direction... What is the best water for the dunking phase and how long of a dunk is best? I use to go between 16-24 hours and noticed anything over 24 was harmful... Usually resulting in blotch. So currently what I have lots of is RO water from my filter. The ppm is typically around 25-31ppm. Is this okay? Should iboil it to try and get out anything more? I'd like to use rain but all my rain was reservedfor my shiitake block and were . currently in a mild drought. Its suppose to rain 2mro but I wouldn't put my money on it. Any type of bottled water your reccomend from the store? Also why is distilled NOT recommended?
Sorry for all the questions but thank you times a million!

Get a water distiller and never run it dry.

So distilled is okay? I have a distillation set up already.
I've used such poorly filtered water, one could call it tap and I wanna say it worked. But lately I've seen reference to using non chlorinated water. And wanted to go a more purist route.

Do not used distilled water. Always tap. If your tap is that bad, then use spring water or something.

Why not distilled? How about the RO at 30ppm?

Tap water or hose water is fine.
Distilled water is free from any salts/solutes as they are left behind in the process, and can cause osmotic shock. Not a huge issue as fungal mycelia and plant cells are resistant to these changes but....tap water is perfectly fine. Setting up a whole distillation process is intensive and silly for something as simply as hydrating fungi. They've lived for hundreds of millions of years without distilled water, they'll do just fine with whatever comes out of your faucet.

Isn't rain water just the earth's version of distilled though? The ppm of rain water around here has ranged from 7-15. That's pretty vacant. Whereas tap is almost 200. The chlorine and other pollutants is what concerns me.
Again I've used basically tap in the past (Brita like stuff) and I remember it working. I guess I'm recently concerned because I bought a shiitake block (huge cake) recently and in the instruction book and another online tek video made a big point of using non chlorinated water and to not use distilled.
Again does anyone know if reverse osmosis water is alright? That's what I used to make up the cakes and they colonized beautifully. The myc had fully wrapped around the entire inside of the jars in ten days time. That was a week ago as I gave it some time to consolidate. I'm think I'm going to pop them in the fridge tonight and do the dunk tomorrow. I'm leaning toward RO water... But does anyone think that's a bad move?

The low amounts of chlorine in my tap water is part of the reason I use it. Some add additional bleach to dunk water to combat contams.
