Request for ID UK
    #23823310 - 11/11/16 03:11 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Habitat:
Where does it grow? Found the group of darker an more brown in colour mushrooms toward the bottom of a hill a few weeks ago. Not much hope for them being active but would like know what they are. Were found in long grass bordering a large forest.

The mushrooms that are much paler were found growing out of old dead wood, again not much hope as I'm new to this but would like to know.

All found in the UK in the surrounding wooded areas of Oxford.

Seems as if we have three different types tried to separate them into similar looking groups in the photos.

The brown mushrooms had a stem size of around 10cm they were the longest out of the ones found. Cap was 4cm ish in diameter and a dark muddy brown colour, small nipples in some others were just round and smooth. The caps broke quite easily which gave me a feeling they might have died.

The lighter mushrooms where much smaller and shorter stems. The thinner of the two lighter mushrooms were 4-5cm in length stem, the caps were 2cm. the caps were strong and didn't break easily.

Sorry don't have too much info very new to this. Any ideas of what they might be are appreciated.

I see Mycena and Panaeolus in there and something I am not sure of.

Nothing active or edible.
