Posting WBS in stockpot after simmer. This will be the last time I simmer, just wondering if this is too much exploded kernels that will hinder efforts?

It's on the fence. Let it dry well. Boil load wet preps work better for millet IME than simmer preps.

Yeah, it's iffy, a bit gooey. Letting it drain and dry now, hopefully it'll turn up

Boil load wet prep??? Could you explain more please?
I use red milo and I just bring to boil, tight cover for an hour or so n steam dry.

Get it really dry. Next time use Fooman's wbs prep. It's a solid prep, just be sure to increase the sterilization time to 2 hours and you will be good.

any time i simmered or applied heat to wbs it always fudged up.
soaking for 24 hours after heavy rinsing works just fine. no simmer no fuss.

Takes 24 hours and stinks. I have never had soaking alone do good with straight millet (almost never use WBS). Always leaves it too dry.

First few jars, pressure cooked, millet looks a little discolored but no mush, does this pic look good?
