Hey everyone. I have had this cactus for about a month now. I was under the impression that it was a peruvian torch. I am just hoping someone can verify that. Thanks everyone.

I dunno, looks like a hybrid. Peruvian is more blue green, darker green. Could be a variety of Peruvian I have never seen.
Source of the specimen?

The source is unknown. A local southern california friend that bought a house with a huge variety of cacti in the back yard.(they all looked like either pachanoi, bridgessi, and peruvianus) He was nice enough to gift me a cut. Ill upload pictures of his collection that came with the house next time i am over.

I have a Bk.bunchofnumbers from matucana peru that has super bumpy areoles like that also and it's pure Peruvianus with long spines.
I'm definitely putting my vote on hybrid. It looks like combos of trichs. If you want a better ID join some trichocereus groups on facebook and ask there. They have some big cactus geeks that can ID anything

After searching some pictures it looks like you might be right. Or maybe a peruvianus x cuzco hybrid? Regardless it looks like a very healthy cut.
