Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Growing on a lawn in grass. N. Seattle. Approximate elevation 300 feet above sea      level.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Dark brown, dark maroon, gills not attached,

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

2 to 6 inches long, 1/4 in to 5/16 inch in diameter, hollow. Bruises a dark color where stem is broken.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Cap is 1 to 2 and 1/2 inches in diameter. Is flat.

Spore print color: Dark purplish. (see photos)
Very important!

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Stem appears to turn a dark almost black where a stem was broken.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Growing in tight clusters. Growing near another species on the grass.
