There are a small number of posters that when I see their avatar or sig, I just keep scrolling because their posts are usually garbage.  After a while, ignore becomes a practicality for not having the clutter and extra scrolling through the bullshit.  There aren't even THAT many posters like that around, but the ones that are post a lot and it just becomes so easy to browse Shroomery once I ignore them since I'm already scrolling past their posts automatically anyway.

I've had sheekle on ignore a couple times. Takes a lot for me to ignore someone. The only other person I ignored was some guy in WCA that was constantly talking about killing himself and it ruined the entire thread for me.

Not really, I'm past being butthert by the goings on here. I'd be a fucking idiot if I still let it get to me like I did in my early mod days. I just find Webster to be one of the most foul humans I've come across in recent years. And that's saying something - of the hundreds of people I've met and had brief, but heart to heart interactions with over the past year, I've only met one IRL and one online I didn't like.

The IRL dude was some Irish fucker I spent a night on the streets with smoking crack and Heroin, and getting to know the hookers and other homeless guys on the streets of kings X after Notting Hill Carnival.

The online dude is Webster.

Webster is a smart fella for his age. He's not afraid to call people out on their bullshit. That's what I like about the shroomery, people always calling people out on their bullshit. Lots of opportunity to learn. Me and Web used to butt heads all the time too, but now we're cool. Maybe you guys will eventually find common ground too.

I hope so, I managed to with Sheekle although it took a while. Websters ego is much much bigger though, and as long as it remains so inflated I fear we're doomed to butt heads. I can't say I really mind though, it part of being in a community; no human is ever gonna get on with everyone they meet.

To be fair, both of you guys have big egos. I wouldn't feel comfortable saying that if I didn't have a big ego myself, so don't take offence.

No I hear ya. I don't deny I have a big ego at times. I've said it a couple of times before; but Webster reminds me a bit of me at his age. Which is probably why I find him hard to deal with - I'm sure some wise fuck once said something along the lines of 'when you see behaviour you don't like in others, it's often due to something in you'. That may well apply here.

The only difference I can see between us at the same age is I was very aggressive, whilst he strikes me as a massive showoff. If one analysed the root of such behaviours, I wouldn't be surprised if they are caused by similar circumstances.

I'm gonna be a cattle farmer. I've already helped birth one, and butchered another into all the cuts, so I've had a taste.

It's grizzly work.
