Questions regarding Green House and FAE benefit

I was reading here about Green Houses giving more FAE than mono's. I realize that by the time bulk goes into the GH, it should already be 100%, but sometimes it goes bad when the 1st flush happens or maybe a little before/after.
1. Do GH's have any advantage over mono's when growing bulk, such as FAE?
2. Do GH's have any advantage fighting/preventing contamination?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Contamination on the first flush shouldn't occur, unless you didn't properly pasteurize your bulk substrate.
Good FAE can be achieved for both. Cut slits in the GH, dial in your mono tubs.
Contamination is going to happen no matter what. If you are doing everything properly in regard to grain sterilization and bulk sub preparation, you'll be able to get at least two or three flushes. Some people get more.

Greenhouses have a lot of advantages for the larger scale experienced grower, and for those who do multiple species. BUT it's a lot more time, effort, and money to build and maintain. If you are planning on filling the greenhouse and keeping it filled for a while, great, but if you want to dial back production at any point suddenly you have a lot of wasted space, humidifiers to refill, stuff plugged in on timers, etc.
Monotubs are simple and discrete (not "discreet" although they are that too) which gives you the benefit of separate projects to experiment with and learn from. Also, when I was running an indoor greenhouse, I found fungal gnats to be a persistent annoyance. Meanwhile I've never had them with monotubs.
I would recommend new growers start with smaller scale fruiting chambers like SGFC and monotubs. Once you are more experienced, you will know if/when you need or want to try a greenhouse.

Contams happen either way. Green house are great if you like spending time on your grow more. Its a lot of work to keep going. But trays in them do well you don't even have to be 100 colonised subs just straight into fruiting. Mono are great if your sure all your spawn is clean making 6qts if spawn into a tub is easy but if trich or other contams are hidden in just one jar you lose it all. If you make 6 trays instead you risk less per spawn.

Learn agar Learn how to make DOPE grain spawn Use passive fruiting chambers several times and get a good idea of what u are capable of when working with them (sgfc, mono) From there, decide if the results are what ur looking for and if they aren't, use that knowledge to build a greenhouse based on whatever you thought was lacking in ur previous attempts

So, I actually just did agar plates and have done a GH in the past. The GH house is that green wirey one you get at home depot, so not much building except for the tubes and cool mist addition. I just didn't know if having THAT much more FAE is THAT much more beneficial. I guess there's a way to dial in a mono to the point where it has as much FAE as a GH, but I can't see it.
I've been growing for about 2.5 years accumulated. Agar has seemed to help with the contamination side of things. GH's are definitely more work in the beginning but once it was dialed in, there were not as many tubs to wash and all that.
Good info, guys. Thanks you.
