A few recent Big Fish

I just wanted to share a couple pictures that I finally re sized and uploaded.
These are texas yellow caps from rye berry spawn put to a coir/verm/gypsum sub. These popped up on the second flush.
What do you guys think?

These were the biggest of that flush, and some of my biggest to date. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to run home, harvest, throw them in the dehydrator. I didn't get a before wet weight.

Second. It wasn't as fruitful, no pun intended, as the first but had larger fruits. After that second push, the sub was too dry for a 3rd so it was ditched.

It was my first mono ever, also my first attempts at agar.
I took a sample from a nice pf cake fruit and put it on agar, tried to clean it up as best as I could over 3 different sets of dishes.
Amazon fucked up and sent me the wrong kind of dishes though. They sent me ones with holes in them, and it's not what I ordered. Still, they were cheap for like 24 of them.
The jars that were made all came out seemingly perfect. I used seven qts of spawn in a 66 qt tub. I could have probably gotten away with using less.

Thanks man. I regret not jumping on the mono train sooner. I think once you get an idea of how it works, it's far less work then cakes.

I think it's bad ass that you did both agar and the mono for the first time. Way to kill two birds.

7 quarts!! Dag, on my past few tubs (similar size) I've used like 3 quarts.
What were your bulk colonizing times like and yields?

Since it was my first time I went all in and didn't want to get the ratios wrong. It took around 11 days to fully colonize. I started to see pins maybe eight-ten days after that. After two flushes the tub put out around eight zips. Made a lot of little gifts for some friends.
The biggest ones coming in on the second. I could have probably rehydrated the sub and got a 3rd, but I had some new jars ready by then.
It was cool, cause some of my really experienced hippy friends, were like holy shit man, those were great!
