Slow grow kit
    #2382095 - 02/27/04 06:55 AM (13 years, 2 days ago)

Hi, I grow shrooms from grow kits like the ones on magicmushrooms.org in a propagator.

Anyway, I got a pananeous tropicalous grow kit about 3 weeks ago. I have growen tonnes of Koh-Samui before and found it only takes 1.5 weeks to start growing. However my tropicalous hasnt been growing until I noticed one tiny shroom today.

My question is what is the likelyhood that the kit will produce more. At first I though that the mercillium was dead or someting but now one shroom has popped up I have a little more hope. The shroom lookes pretty weak but It could be because tropicalous are small shrooms. Does the mercilluim, or whatever causes the shrooms to grow, multiply and spread in the soil or have I just got a small patch of the stuff.

Has anyone ever growen from these growkits and is there a chance that some kits dont produce anything or very little?

Is there anything I can do to improve the chances of more growing. I thought about 'rakeing' the top of the soil to mayby spread stuff about but my guess is its a stupid idea.

just keep it in fruiting conditions. You should really do your own grows instead of kits. You will learn a lot more and find what works best for you! Also cheaper!

u07jrb you should ask directly to Marv of MM.org (a very
kind person) what's the time for pinning and developing
fruits for the Panaeolus kits...
I'd think that this specie of Mushi got a totally different
cycle of life, regardin' the times and tempo / rh, compared
to an Ecuadorian strain.

You could also make a post in the forum of MM.org,
why not?

Good luck with your grow-kit
