Suggestions Regarding Which Species to Hybridize

If anyone knows any Psilocybin species that fit my criteria below please comment the strain below.
I am currently interested in producing a hybrid capable of producing high yields by square foot, yet has a higher than average potency (normal being Cube.). I am aware there possibly is strains that already fit that criteria, but i am interested in the mycological process of combining monokaryotes.
So please if you know two different strains that fit one or the other traits comment them!

Any cube, grow out, clone first large fruits to agar. Grow out, choose best isolate, GO. Dick

Crossing cubes is not making hybrids...they are the same mushroom...pe is already as potent as it gets with top yield. ..not much room for improvement.

Crossing species is going to require serious equipment and supplies. It's also quite unlikely to work easily. Some of the best mycologists in the world have failed at it.
Varietal crosses are easy. If the lineages do not have a distinct phenotype it will be hard to verify. You can get around that by either crossing distinct phenotypes or using a microscope to find monokaryons and crossing those. At any rate the real work comes later when finding the proper F2 genetics to move forward. Can take dozens of grows to find and stabilize.

I was not indicating a cross. I was telling op to go to agar, isolate, and grow out the best suited to their needs. I tried to keep it simple, don't know where crossing came into play here.... Dick Edit: Misread OP, my fault. Op: I'm with the above two postings, crossing fungi is nothing like crossing flora. See Pasty for explanation, no need to say it twice. Again, my fault :-(

SporeDaddy said: If anyone knows any Psilocybin species that fit my criteria below please comment the strain below. a strain is the resultant of two compatible spores since cubensis mycelium is illegal and spores are not you cannot buy a strain, you can however buy varieties of spores and grow hundreds of strains and select for good ones to keep around
I am currently interested in producing a hybrid capable of producing high yields by square foot, yet has a higher than average potency (normal being Cube.). I am aware there possibly is strains that already fit that criteria, but i am interested in the mycological process of combining monokaryotes. you would know what you want more if you knew what you were talking about. You can isolate a strain of any variety of cubensis that performs better and is more potent than average. if that doesn't make you happy you would have to find a whole new species. you can use any variety of cubensis from AA to B+, GT, PE, etc... any of them to start finding a suitable strain. but that requires work with the genetics contained in a spore print.
So please if you know two different strains that fit one or the other traits comment them! you cannot buy strains of psychedelics only spores. spores come in varieties, any two spores that mate make random potency and random yield mycelium. if you grow from spores you can select down till you have strains or clones and see which ones perform better and keep them around, every time you grow out those they will perform very consistently. varieties have far less consistency since you're using spores you have 100s of strains of your variety working together and combining their genetic information via anastomosis. alternatively you can grow a more potent species than cubensis like pan cyans for example

Haha, I truly signed off, re-read the post and saw this person was speaking of crosses rather than isolates. My dumb ass assumes if a person places this inquiry they understand the basics....
That's the second time since I regged that had happened with my SN (I'm a noob here) it displays my love for laughter and linguistics

I think a very interesting experiment would be to try hybridising Psilocybe weraroa with any or all of the other species belonging in Section Cyanescens.

Psi. Galindoi X Psi. Cubensis would be great. Good fruit yield + sclerotia formation in the substrate. I should buy a rattlesnake to get some venom.
