Is my mono substrate too moist?
    #23820380 - 11/10/16 05:07 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

I just put my spawn into a bulk mono sub yesterday, 66qt bin, Its a 50/50 verm coir sub with 5% gypsum. I squeezed any excess water out of the sub as I placed it in the bin but I'm not sure if I got it perfect . I noticed moisture building up today. It's only been a day but my spawn feels a bit soggy. I added some extra verm to the sub, mixed it up again, and fanned it a little hoping to soak it up a bit. Everything smells fine and looks fine but again it's only been a day. I did another squeeze test today to check density and drippage, and content seems good. It's just pretty moist to the touch as is the spawn.  Trying to nip any contams in the bud so I'm posting on here.

I may just be paranoid or bugging a little, but I've had issues from contams in the past due to moisture content. What do you guys think? Can anyone respond on what I should be looking for?
