revolution doesn't occur by waiting until everybody is ready. If that's what it was, it wouldn't be a revolution, just the way things are at a given point in time.
I think the idea of a sudden, flash of revolution through a political spectrum is outdated and unnecessary anyways. What I really want is a spiritual, or conscious evolution, through empathy, compassion and kindness in action. However, to get to the point where those traits are actually effective on a massive scale, we all have to get together and organize, to be diligent about refusing propaganda and fear mongering.
Stealing flags is basically pointless, except for sending a message to the people who work in those government offices, and if you really want to communicate with them, doing something like idk... giving them a phone call? might be more effective.

10-20 for replacing the flag with another one? I doubt it. Probably a slap on the wrist honestly, probation and community service perhaps. Especially if he folded the one he's replacing and left it rather than stealing it.
Burning the flag hoisted at a government building? Then you'd be in real trouble. For arson, theft, public endangerment and being an all around douche hat that is. Not for anything related to the message of replacing the flag though.

I agree with you on the 2nd part but our system encourages and nearly forces greed, materialism, and corruption. Our whole fuckin economy would collapse if we weren't constantly spending money and living in excess.
I don't think we're ready for a revolution because we are not ready to address that core issue.. And you sure as fuck can't have a revolution by yourself. You can have a revelation but not a revolution.

Noooooooo dude... you have to remember that since he's vandalizing government property, he'd be charged with a FEDERAL crime. This ups the anty and makes the charges and punishment a LOT more serious.
Just consider the fact that defacing or vandalizing a mailbox can land you 5 years in federal prison.

Tracy Chapman has been talking about a revolution for 20 years now.

Who is that?
Mind you I was surrounded by radical conservatives and diehard Obama fans 5~6 years ago and up until that point I was either too dumb or too smart to be sniffing around in anything remotely political.
Since I confess that I'll confess that I like radical conservatives and democrats so long as they can keep their mouth shut on some things or I can pretend they just don't say them. Which I have a hard time doing these days but I think I still do it with Pris and Koods often enough
