It turns you into an idiot, stunts your growth and makes minorities rape white women.

Little to none. Probably similar to caffeine if anything.

most of the kids I've witnessed that started habitually smoking pot early 13-15 are unmotivated burnouts and slackers.

Probably more of a home scenario deal. No?

My cousins all smoked weed with their parents when they were young. They told me they literally can't remember not smoking weed. They all dropped out of high school and are sitting around doing nothing now.
I started smoking weed when I was 20 and still to this day smoke multiple times per day yet still was able to get my bachelors degree and hold a job as an engineer.
This could be because of the weed use or it could just be because my cousins parents were deadbeat parents and mine weren't. Take what you want from that.

I started smoking pot as much as possible at 14. I have been extremely successful in academics, athletics etc so I don't feel it hurt me too much and may have helped me in many ways.
however I definitely have a very impaired short term memory and I am not an ambitious person career wise and those might both be related to heavy weed use.

Its nothing good. In that age group, puberty start, at the same time school is making high demands. It is a very stressful period where you need to be at your best.
Young teens especially are susceptible to amotivational syndrome, becoming lazy slackers who just want to get high. Generally not so when you smoke at an older age because then your brain is further developed.
Its best to stay sober in your young years, until your brain and body have mostly developed (say past age 18) an only then start with drugs.
Are you in that age group or is it curiosity?

You also are.. Moonshoe, quite unique and unusual in many ways.

it's true. My friends often remark on how unusual it is that I function so well when under the influence of cannabis and not everyone finds it performance enhancing like I do.

my opinion is that its not good. it causes anxiety and takes away discipline. im not trying to argue this point i just hold this beleif personally.
i know im goign to get 20 replys like
" u H4v3 a preesising condishon breh. 14 year oldz can 420 blaz it. it curz canser. WeED iz nt @ druj its medysyn. if yu miS-uz it its on yu"
im also not arguing that it cures cancer as i know there is evidence that it does thats just my impression of some kid in stoner denile who takes aaaaany opportunity to say that weed is awesome and is medicine and has no bad qualities.
they say if weed fucks you over its on you but they are telling people there are no downsides so the people who hear that are obviously going to misuse it because they havent heard what could go wrong. they have only heard that its awesome medicine.
having said all that i smoke weed every day

Add weed to that and voila
Young teens tend to have next to no defense against addiction. You learn that as you age.

Never taking any drugs or eating junk food or missing sleep is the best thing you can do for your health. Which is obviously totally boring, so go with moderation IMO.
I've yet to see a study that I trust show that cannabis has an averse effect on brain development. As a smoker of it since 14, and a massive pillhead since 15, something has definitely affected my memory, but I don't know which. I think it's more likely the 13 years I abused MDMA than Cannabis though.

It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Cannabis messes up my memory so much. If there is a dip in the conversation i will forget what we were talking about.
I put my drink down then ask people where my drink is like 20 seconds later even if i havent smoked any that day but i did yesterday.
But once i quit for a atleast 3 days which doesnt happen often, then smoke again i will start forgetting everything mid way through thinking it and realize that my memory had gone back to normal or close to it in just 3 to 5 days.

I'm sure it would have been better if I had waited a few more years before I started smoking. I can't complain though.

They also say that young tobacco users don't go to college.
I took acid, drank and smoked tobacco before I ever smoked weed enough to get high. Probably 16 when I first started getting high. Maybe 17.
I have known a lot of towers that went to college. They do very well in life and are smart people.
I think studies get messy up with that people who weren't going to do well in life anyway are more likely to toke. Drugs are seen as lowlife due to being crimes. Low life's weren't going to do great anyway.
