drugs cut off your connection to the divine. Thats what all drug addicts have in common. We dont have a sense of connectedness to one another or to the holy spirit (the universe, whatever you wanna call it) thats why muslims dont drink or use drugs.

Yes, But remember sprinkles, Muslims do drink and do use drugs just like all other peoples do. It is just that there is a precept in Islam to not drink and do drugs for the obvious reasons. But the same goes with Buddhism ( they break it and drink and drug just like the muslims, and the christians and the jews), there is a precept to not drink and do drugs, same reasons ( the inevitable consequences of it overall ). It is because it leads to suffering for so many that it is considered Immoral in many religions. Only the ones who practice their religion carry that precept in their hearts and lives.

life entirely sober, in a society that promotes faith in eternal life, is something that isn't entirely a bad thing.

"I" does not exist without "Y"
Am I present? Sounds harmless enough. Yet to ask is to know. Humbleness and humanity need to become good friends.
The ebb and flow of life is magic. It is difficult to appreciate the highs without life's lows.
To question "why" is our gift from the universe. Sounds like you are on the right track mantis83.

You have painted yourself in a corner.
The Magic, the Mystery, the Wonder and Splendor is all still there but you closed the doree on it witt reductionist logic.
Let the paint dry and get out of there.
Psychedelics may help.
Its not that the Mystery is gone forever, you just locked yourself out temporarily.

Its utterly fascinating. After you stop dosing the effects go on for many hours and you get VERY euphoric and up. It has an antidepressant effect lasting several weeks after

How can humans truly live without a deep connection to the profound, the ineffable?
Without having an inner sense and knowing that one is at all times a part of and one with the divine, the cosmic, the sacred, how can one continue aimlessly in this otherwise feeble existence?
With no awareness of the supernatural life has become very meaningless and drab. Like I'm just dragging on, continuing because I have to.
Well, thanks for reading these few lines, I would greatly appreciate others' opinions and feedback.

I believe in God. not some phantom white bearded dude from the clouds. I think anything you look at from the gita or even traditional religion or Greek mythology, it has simple truths, and even allegory. People are dense. You need to pull meaning from it.
I am on my path in life. I found this through self exploration, challenging myself to reach next level of consciousness, to be on that Maslow's hierarchy of needs, to reach self actualization; to be like Elliot Hulse says, that strongest version of myself.
No matter how dark the road gets in life or during a trip, my true North is knowing there is a God, this architect of the universe and life.
Find something to keep you centered. What are your dreams? Goals?? Ambitions? Have a path in life. Know your true north. I put my best foot forward and I look to share my talents as well as gifts in the world. My ego kicks off like everyone (hence spats online or road rage lol) but, I think we are all here on a similar life path which brought us to this forum.
Without some belief of God, appreciation for this life, and just giving thanks for the opportunity, the cards I was dealt, I am lucky. In the worst of times or trips, I am grounded because of it.

They have documented history of killing homos and women. I think your point is missing the mark. Are you using to get fucked up or are you exploring your consciousness? I have never touched dmt but I intend to one day at some point. Right now, I am not nearly ready for that.
