I think none of us are close to predicting what will happen.
All I know is if Trump elects a fuckwad like Jamie Dimon or his Ilk as Treasurer he played everyone for a fool and is about to shit on the entire world. Please tell me that was a joke.

I don't know, maybe you guys deserve your purge, your zombie apocalypse, your second civil war, your downfall from the position of the world's leading superpower.
shouldnt the netherlands be dealing with their muslim problem instead of worrying about america's president
You mean the refugees? Its very simple. America drops the bombs, the refugees come running to Europe for cover. You elect a completely undiplomatic jackass for president, we anticipate millions more refugees. Its very simple. One of the reasons the US destabilizes the middle east is to tie Europes hands so its easier to compete with us without actually doing the work. You guys outsourced everything.
The "refugees come running" when the EU announced an open door policy, that has already changed course.
There's no logical reason why genuine refugees from the Middle East need to relocate into the EU, there's plenty of safe zones right in their region.
BTW, a huge percentage of these people are economic migrants from Northern Africa, they are seeking a better standard of living because Africa's population is exploding higher and creating all sorts of problems, that's not the fault of US/EU policies.

See the thing is not everyone wants to be like america. Some people actually enjoy other cultures instead of living in some little bubble only thinking about yourself.
My country for example, weve only been here for a few hundred years. Yes we do have pure "australian culture" but that is such a small part of it. Australian culture is about EVERYONE in our country no matter what they do or believe.

More than half the country are losing their shit. Maybe a quarter can see a silver lining and maybe 20% support Trump. Mostly Alberta and parts of Quebec. But unlike in the US. Trump supporters aren't vocal about it.

half my family is Australian, and one of the things they specifically like about Canada over their home country? Canada is, according to them, a lot less racist and red-necky. So I wouldn't be too quick to contrast american and australian approaches, they're not that dissimilar. In canada too, we may have less of a problem with immigration (20.6% of the country are immigrants) but we've got long standing issues with the natives, which are actual worse in most metrics than the challenges faced by african americans in the US. The point isn't that the US sucks and us commonwealth-ers are good, it's that we all can improve and ought to where capable.

pretty true, but as in america, most canadians don't know shit and their judgements are cosmetic or based on what they hear in the news and what their neighbour tells them, rather than an actual examination of Trump or what he stands for. That said, knowing what Trump stands for, it'll be an entertaining 4 years.

The Government of Australia initiated the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme in 1945...
My sister took advantage of it and moved to Melborne with her two kids and her husband, probably around 1969. My aunt also went on the same scheme but moved to Perth. Theres dozens of them out there now.
Forgot to say, their both called Sheila.

"I don't get why your so hung up on skin color"
It was in response to your original thesis- "angry racist old white man". You see, when you start with this racism nonsense people are going to call you out on your hypocrisy.
You're judging people for being racist from thousands of miles away as you live in an all white culture, do you not see the hypocrisy.
"you racist"
No, that would be you. You see when you call someone else a "racist" without any evidence other than your own emotion, that makes YOU RACIST.

They are a professional with no criminal record
They suffer and are in danger in their homeland

As a Canadian living in the filling of a maple on ICBM sandwich, I welcome the prospect of thawing tensions between the USA and Russia. I was also very happy to see the media exposed as the lying shit-disturbers that I've suspected them of being for quite some time now.
Congratulations, America.

I dont know how you can preach our cultural acceptance and diversity when we literally lock up ANYONE who comes to our shores seeking asylum, for indeterminate amounts of time on islands in the Pacific, of which there have been multiple, multiple, multiple claims of rape, child abuse, and sexual assaults, all of which is purposely not reported on by media and never mentioned by any of our scum politicans.
Australia has a track record of some of the hardest and harshest stances on immigration, and we elect openly racist and xenophobic politicans into the senate (Pauline Hanson).
And you think the states are living in their own bubbles. Ha.

Having the option of proportional representation over here I look for the liberal/green/socialist option but struggled to see what real choice US voters had.
Thinking of everyone on earth it seems that picking someone who is less likely to escalate war is good. Hopefully Trump is motivated enough by money so wants to bargain not battle.
It's not make love not war but make money not war. Acceptable I suppose. Unless he cottons onto the money to be made in arms deals. Then we are all fucked.
Being a household comprised of people from around the globe, mixed religion, gender and sexuality there's a lot of gladness we don't have to live in the US just now and hope for peace.
I learned the other day America is bombing 7 countries just now. I hope Trump views those tactics as bad for business relations *crosses fingers and touches wood*
