it's not about that. it's about the "establishment" or "anti-establishment" claims from proponents.

The populatin of North Dakota in 2014 was 739,482. It has 3 electoral votes. There are 246,494 people per elector.
It takes 2.86 people in California to to equal 1 person in North Dakota.
Except... no.
We vote for President by state, not nationally.
If you're in California, your vote counts as 1 person, just like every Californian.
If you're in New York, your vote counts as 1 person, just like every New Yorker.
If you're in North Dakota, your vote counts 1 person, just like every North Dakotan..
This isn't rocket science and those who can't grasp this simple concept should be embarrassed mortified.
We vote by state in the hope that the one your state votes for will be the next President. Just like you vote for the Representatives and Senators for your state.
Except - YES.
To be equal to North Dakota, California should have 157 electors, NOT 55.
Then it would actually be 1 person 1 vote and the number of people electing 1 elector in North Dakota would be the same as in California.

Come on man, give the republicans a break. They are outnumbered and can't win without electoral affirmative action.

So apparently California owns the rest of the US. Gotcha.

California's GDP = Georgia + Alabama + Missouri + Louisiana + Tennessee + Arkansas + Kansas + Nebraska + Mississippi + West Virginia + Oklahoma...
It's larger than France's or India's economy for that matter. So if you're not interested in having a single state with a population of 38 million whose productivity makes its economy larger than a nation with 1.25 billion people... that's your idiocy to deal with

Rogue' GOP Elector Says Others Will Join in Opposing Trump
Quote:
"I am confident in saying, at this point," he continued,"I don’t think I will be the only one voting for someone other than Donald Trump who is carrying a Republican elector seat."
Suprun told Jonathan Karl and Rick Klein on the Powerhouse Politics Podcast that he is not sure which former candidate will earn the vote since his choice, Ohio Governor John Kasich, has said he is not interested.
"As electors come forward, and I have had conversations with other Republican electors in particular, I think we will start discussing names specifically and see who meets the test that we could all get behind," he said.

This isn't about making Clinton president, this is about saving the country from the idiot Donald Trump. That is key, finding anyone else besides him.
Fortunately, trump supporters have shown they don't believe in political violence since they were so critical of Hillary supporters after the election - so we won't have to worry about civil war when someone else is elected by the college. Additionally they are strong supporters of the electoral college and will support whatever decision it makes

Koods. You do realize that Trump's popularity has gone up in the last few weeks? People are seeing the Carrier thing positively, they are enjoying the thank you tour and they're getting used to it a bit more.
This isn't gonna be a normal Presidency. It will be very different and much more engaging for the people. It'll be a reality show. The UK opened the ball with Brexit, Trump confirmed it. Now every conservative populist in Europe are gaining double digits in popularity. People are tired of the political games and this never answer a yes or no question with a yes or a no bullshit. Trump got elected because they saw someone so extremely different from what they have right now that they just said fuck it. Let's try this and see what happens over the most qualified political gamer out there.
You have to understand that the world changes for better or worst depending on what your world view is. To you this is disaster, to others it's opportunity. Understand this. The current situation may not help you but it will help others. The world won't end. This nuclear missile code shit is just drama. When Trump takes office you'll still be going to the grocery store so you can cook yourself dinner. Nothing in your life will change.

The carrier thing? You mean the deal where the tax payers give carrier millions of dollars to ship 1000 jobs overseas?
Running a country isn't a reality show. This is serious. You want it to be a joke.

You sound so sure of yourself that it's the end of civilization as we know it. Quit fear mongering. Give the man a chance to screw something up first.

We have a national security adviser who believes in the most absurd conspiracy theories. A labor secretary who dreams of replacing people with machines without any regard to what happens to the people who lose their jobs. A treasury secretary who specializes in squeezing the last dollar out of the poor. An attorney general who thinks there aren't enough drug users in prison and a president who is a sociopath who is going to run the country in the interest of Russia and his own companies.
Fuck. That. Shit.

Your level headed first paragraph is belied by the insanity of the second.
Frankly, you're the worst kind of conspiracy monger who believes trusted news sites are Russian state media and one that specializes in showing videos of people being killed. Not exactly a wise one are you?

Did you read the entire sentence. There's nothing wrong with replacing people with machines as long as you have a way to take care of the people who lose their jobs. Unfortunately trump doesn't seem to understand the first thing about automation. He thinks most manufacturing jobs have been lost to trade deals. It's much easier to blame Mexicans than R2D2.

Have you ever considered it's not the govt's job to take care of you?
