That's funny because Obama did just that. He surrounded himself with like minded ideologues that told him what he wanted to hear. He just said he was caught off guard by the forming of ISIS. Liberals hands are so far in the and it's pretty funny. I hope the antics continue because if the liberals and democrats stay the course, they will loose even more congressional and senate seats.

He was probably caught off guard by ISIS because it was Hillary at the foreign policy helm :smilingpuppy:

Seeing as trumps appointing fast food CEOs to labor positions at the moment I don't know how good 2-4 years  from now is looking for the republicans either. Unfortunately for both parties their most staunch supporters are dying on the yearly - and the younger ones hate them both.

Why is this bad? Who (or what type of person) would be a better choice? Another politician?

Probably because he employs 98% of his employees at the lowest possible wage, and we're trying to create livable - well paying fucking jobs?

Probably because his entire industry is devoted to selling people the cheapest least healthy shite they can possible get away with selling?

Someone who would be a better choice would be ... well just about anyone. I haven't researched who has done it best - but preferably someone who has had great success with creating high paying jobs for a large number of people as well as intimate knowledge of what laws have assisted, how things could be changed, and what laws have hindered.

This pick may have knowledge of those laws yes, but his skew will  be "How can I make my business of paying people jack shit even more profitable" - This dude is not looking to create well paying jobs, everything about him contradicts that

Yeah that's not really true at all with what you said. Anecdotally, I have a cousin that works with Hardees. It's kinda weird actually, but it was his first job and he stuck with it and he's in his 30's now. He loves it and made a career in fast food service.

He has like 3 or 4 kids and he worked his way up like a district manager or something. He started at the lowest position and now he owns a pretty nice house. Not the life I want, but it clearly works for him and many others like him in that company.

Hardees also was a company on the brink of destruction many years ago. It was brought back from the dead and is now a major player in that industry. That's pretty much the exact scenario we need for labor...

Ironically, he also voted for Trump, lol.

Well I'm not surprised

Yes you can indeed make decent money being a district manager or this or that manager, but that is a small small fraction of the employees.

They employ about 20,000 people - about 3000 restaurants so approx it's going to be 80-90% minimum wage workers, and probably about 3-5,000 managers...

The average wage of said managers? 29k-50k

With the mass average of workers barely scraping past 14k/yr which is barely livable.

Hmm lets take another company. Tesla - 14,000 employees... Average wage: 91k

Google over 57,000 employees... Average wage: over 100k

Lets look at a less prestigious employer...

Whole foods: 91,000 employees - average income 40k/yr - wow! Food/grocery can afford to pay above minimum wage! They also have a much higher revenue doing so. Maybe trump should've hired their CEO?

I honestly don't think liberals would be happy with anyone Trump appoints. Lets wait to see what actually happens before we cast judgments and project the future.

Massive voter fraud in Michigan, oddly enough in heavy democrat counties

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2016/12/05/recount-unrecountable/95007392/

Quote:

Most of those are in heavily Democratic Detroit, where the number of ballots in precinct poll books did not match those of voting machine printout reports in 59 percent of precincts, 392 of 662

Quote:

County reports obtained by The Detroit News, though, indicate canvassers were provided no explanation for why the numbers didn’t add up in those precincts. They certified the results of the election anyway

Thanks for the recount Jill! Now everyone can see another example of how corrupt dems are:cookiemonster:

Why would evidence of fraud in democrat counties, should that exist, be evidence it was democrats doing fraud?  Why would they need to fake the votes if they're already winning?

Also, count them again :crankey: you got it wrong

This sounds like the results of the "Cross Check" "system" that Republicans were using in order to knock Democrats off the voting rolls.

The Republicans had a list of millions of names over maybe 30 states. Whenever there were duplicate names, -- like "Jesse Jackson" in Detroit, and "Jesse Jackson" in North Carolina, they would mark both people as possible double voters.

And - you guessed it - they looked for Democrat sounding names - especially minorities.

They would then send out small postcards with tiny print to both (or possibly 100s of) people with the same name, saying that they need to verify that they are at that address. Many people didn't even read the postcards and threw them out thinking they were junk mail.

If the people didn't respond, they were knocked off the voter list.

These people would go in to vote, not knowing they were no longer registered, and be told that their names weren't on the rolls. They were given "provisional" ballots which, in the past, were usually not even counted.

Mind explaining why you're bringing up Anne Frank?

I assume you are referring to the Jewish girl who was hiding from the Nazis during world war II and wrote a diary about it? She was captured by the Gestapo and deported to a concentration camp where she died at the age of 15.

It takes 2.86 people in California to to equal 1 person in North Dakota.

Except... no.

We vote for President by state, not nationally.

If you're in California, your vote counts as 1 person, just like every Californian.

If you're in New York, your vote counts as 1 person, just like every New Yorker.

If you're in North Dakota, your vote counts 1 person, just like every North Dakotan..

This isn't rocket science and those who can't grasp this simple concept should be embarrassed mortified.

We vote by state in the hope that the one your state votes for will be the next President. Just like you vote for the Representatives and Senators for your state.
