Lots of times it's "big money" lobbying against each others interests, of course they always like to put a moral spin on their side.

At the end of the day, it's always about the MONEY!!

I'm not a Trump hooligan but it would be rather naive to think the huge jump exactly after the election had to do with Obama  - you know that markets react to current events... right?

The market has gone up 12,000 points during the Obama presidency. No help needed from trump.

Except for bill Clinton, Obama has the best performing stock market in the past 100 years. It's funny how the trump heads ignored it until a month ago and now want to take credit for it. Typical trump. Take credit for others people work.

Yeah, obama sure did get lucky coming in in the middle of market correction

He should thank Bush

So Obama's stock market is thanks to bush and trump. Talk about a partisan hack.

Did Bush leave when the stock market was low?

Yep

Let me ask you, what did obama do that was so great for the market?

He did lots of things the market liked since it has gone up 150% during his presidency.

You want me to go through all the things he's done? Let's just look at the results: 2nd best stock market performance in a century. Enough said.

What has trump done besides giving carrier Indiana taxpayer money to let 900 jobs go to Mexico?

Like I said - we're not talking about that. We're talking about a SINGLE DAY. A SINGLE DAY THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION. Do you think that had nothing to do with what just happened 8 hours prior?

And why? Like I outlined: " because rich people are going to get a huge tax cut - businesses will get big tax cuts - and environmental regulations will be set back to 1880s levels. Which is basically just the standard republican/corporatist wet dream."

Partisan hack alert:

If the stock market crashed, it would have been trumps fault. It didn't, so it's obama doing such a great job.

That's the logic you're arguing against

The corporations are going to use their generous tax cuts to invest in new automation technologies. :cookiemonster:

90% of the manufacturing jobs lost since 2000 were lost to automation, not China or Mexico. Haven't heard trump say a word about that. I guess it's easier to fool the ignorant masses with talk about Mexican rapists than actually talk about the real issues.

Maybe he's smart enough to know that you can't fight automation, but you can fight outsourcing jobs

Did y'all hear US Steel is prepared to hire up to 10,000 more workers here because of Trump?

I bet that really pisses you off, doesn't it?

A huge amount of manufacturing jobs will be lost to automation. Somebody need to tell these people the truth: their jobs are vanishing, and it has nothing to do with outsourcing.

Did it piss you off when Obama saved the auto industry and millions of jobs? All I remember hearing was the right bitching about socialism when he did that.

Automation is da bomb. Luddites need not apply! It will of course break our political-economic system entirely if things continue to concentrate to the top - but that's okay.. that too needs to progress somehow

Automation is great. There will come a day when there will be no jobs for humans to do. The question is whether we will blame lazy workers for not having jobs or pat each other on the back and share in the bounty.

We need leaders who have the balls to tell people that their jobs are not coming back. That this isn't a bad thing. It represents human progress and we should all benefit from technological advances. This is not the leader we have in Donald trump.
