That's all well and good, but let's be real, IF the markets truly believed that currency manipulation was going to end or tariffs were going to be instituted the markets wouldn't be hitting all-time highs.

Bottom line, the markets do NOT believe in Trump's economic rhetoric coming into fruition.

Also, his economic stimulus plan doesn't really look like it's going to happen, $1 trillion over 10 years is a fucking joke even if he gets it passed, it won't build much of anything or stimulate economic growth.

I think what is believed at this point - is that rich people are going to get a huge tax cut - businesses will get big tax cuts - and environmental regulations will be set back to 1880s levels. Which is basically just the standard republican/corporatist wet dream.

"businesses will get big tax cuts"

With the theory they will reinvest their profits back into their business and therefore hire more workers ect.

Unfortunately, this is a false theory in this current economic environment, companies have not and will not reinvest their capital because they know there's structural economic issues which makes demand weak and the fundamentals over the long term very poor.

So at the end of the day, companies will HOARD whatever extra money the tax cuts provide, that does NOTHING for economic growth or for US workers.

"environmental regulations will be set back"

You have to remember, regulations are lobbied for by "big money", it's not to protect me and you, nobody is spending their money for regulations that don't provide them with a decent return of investment.

That's a liberals worst problem, strangers don't sacrifice their well-being for other strangers, it rarely if ever happens.  Those D's fighting to protect our environment are scammers and nothing more, they're bought and paid for by corporate interests.

Small businesses don't really hoard money. The vast majority of businesses are small, not giant corporations reaping 5-10% corporate tax rates. Small businesses will benefit immensely from 10-15% tax rates, and will most certain reinvest. Business owners might take in more money too, but that's ok because the average income hasn't risen in a long time.

I like how people think greedy corporations are the majority of the businesses in country.

That may be true for some regulations - however institutions like the BLM/National Forests out west do legitimately protect an environment which is only a decade or two of unrestrained resource pillaging from complete collapse. And I know there are many in the right-wing who would love to see those resources pillaged in the name of short term economic gain... the same type who want the coal industry revitalized, fracking to continue unabated, etc.

It was the entire premise behind the armed takeover of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.. the Bundy's wanted mining rights and grazing rights - rights to rape what little remains of untouched wilderness in the lower 48 in the name of profit.

Take a look at the map around the town I live in (I'm moving in a day so I don't care it shows my location  ) - Notice how the only thing that has stopped the patchwork rape of some of the most ancient bio-dense environments on the entire planet are federally regulated national forest borders? Not to mention logging is such a short term boom/bust industry that will leave its workers hanging just as much in 10 years as it does today when the resources are gone.

Some may think the economy is the all important thing at stake here... but seriously fuck any money we might get from such an unholy act, I recognize the need for lumber - yes - but some places are just NOT to be touched.

Keep in mind we already cut down 96% of these - and where's the great economic boon from that now?

I'm not a Trump hooligan but it would be rather naive to think the huge jump exactly after the election had to do with Obama  - you know that markets react to current events... right?

The market has gone up 12,000 points during the Obama presidency. No help needed from trump.

Except for bill Clinton, Obama has the best performing stock market in the past 100 years. It's funny how the trump heads ignored it until a month ago and now want to take credit for it. Typical trump. Take credit for others people work.

Yeah that's not what we're talking about - we're talking about that specific day. Which was an obvious reaction to the current events. Can't you just view things objectively instead of perceiving everything as an assault against all that you hold dear?

You're just being silly. Have you ever traded a single stock in your life? That how I made my money, and the reason the stock market has been doing so well is because the economic numbers have been stellar in the past few months.

Trump gains in Wisconsin

By Wednesday morning, Trump had widened his victory margin over Clinton in Wisconsin by 146 votes, with 23 of the state's 72 counties having finished their recounts as of Tuesday. In those counties, Trump gained 105 votes and Clinton dropped 41 votes.

Insert more lib victimhood rhetoric right hurrrr!
