I think the reason Trump ran for president was to get out of debt. He saw how Cheney's company went from bankruptsy to a billion dollar industry and thought to do the same for his failing businesses.
hahaha... cheney sold his stake in haliburton when he accepted the nomination for VP and haliburton didnt file for bankruptcy until 2003, 3 years after cheney sold his holdings in the company
Cheney knew it was coming back in 1998.
"Wendy Hall, a Halliburton spokeswoman, defended the company's handling of the asbestos issue.
''The asbestos litigation environment deteriorated after 1998 in an extent we did not anticipate,'' she said, so ''it's easy to second guess everything now.''" -- http://www.nytimes.com/2002/08/01/business/cheney-s-role-in-acquisition-under-scrutiny.html
"Halliburton inherited most of the liabilities four years ago (1999) through acquisitions made by Mr Cheney.
Halliburton, and its links to Mr Cheney, have been under scrutiny since it was awarded a contract for reconstruction work in Iraq without a competitive pitch. The contract has so far been worth $2.26bn." -- https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/dec/17/iraq.dickcheney
cheney also purchased a lot of toxic assets which was the leading cause of the banruptcy

i like small details. they're fascinating.
sir being that we are two reasonable adults i challenge you to call me on the phone and prove me your right and if u can i will admit it.

that's never gonna happen, you know it'll never happen that we'll see eye to eye. it's all about perspective. personally, i don't care one way or the other what he or anyone else says to excuse him...if he's so smart, he would have had to've known the person he was addressing had a deformity, and that him flailing around and talking like he's disabled, he's gonna attract that attention.
i'm just calling it like it is. doesn't mean i think he should be harangued for his actions. i don't even care about Trump, at this point; his fans are much more appealing to watch.

i meant about this. i'm sure that i am in the predicament of having an implicit erm predilection myself, at least insofar as to believe that Trump knew what he was doing, and making excuses like "see he's made similar gestures before!" is a bit like conspiratorial...and is also back-peddling.
momma's watchin' her stories anyways, and is getting tired.

it's almost like he was a shoo-in and didn't win based on much merit past the fact that he was the best thing available....it's kinda like going to a steakhouse only to find out they're out of steak, so you order Chalet at the place to make a point.
(whoa there is only one Swiss Chalet in America, in Colorado. )

that sounds likely, as well. republicans hated him, at first...that's odd. now they praise his business acumen, said acumen they're always looking for...someone to "take charge, be a leader, set things straight!"
well, for us. for our platform.
the usual platform, can it be said to be run on right now?
who knows. he says "gay marriage" is off the table, for one thing...that's certainly not something the republican party values...one of many things they don't, usually, have in common with Trump- that's what i trying to say. that they usually wouldn't just stop to let someone who's against their ideals "in". not so easily...but it was easy.

No he didn't. he was clearly mocking the reporters gimp hand. I've seen no other video where his hand goes up that high acting like he can't control it with a grimace on his face.

im not saying that person should not have been mocked, all im saying is its not the first or last time trump did it, it most LIKELY was NOT personal and all of us here have done the same thing at one time or another.
jesus christ LOL.
No, most people would not mock someone like that in public. It's one thing to make fun of someone when you're with a bunch of friends, but to do it in front of a crowd on TV is disgusting. Normal people do not behave like that, and if they did happen to do it in the the heat of a moment, a decent person would feel guilty and apologize. Instead, he lies about it again. Says it didn't happen when it clearly did and his intent and target were obvious.

but...who cares? why bother? things shant come back to bite one in the ass...not if it's not right...and i mean, things we do can't really be drudged up from the past to be made relevant to the present...surely not things we do off-hand, not thinking, perhaps, trying to sway an electorate...no these things are not something to judge people on. surely not.
