See...that sucks.
Why do we have to live in a situation where either you're fucked or I'm fucked?
Anyway, the positive in all this is that not having access to health care for most of my life taught me how to take care of myself so that I don't need it other than a catastrophe.
It was nice to be able to get myself tuned up though. I actually got a lot out of it. I guess I better take advantage of it while I still can.....

seems like only a week ago you were all about the electoral college "270 TO WIN!"
No. I've said many times that one of the most important reforms we need is to repeal the electoral college.
do you think the outcome of the poppular vote would have been different had arizona's, alaska's and michigan's votes been added to the final results? it seems everyone decided to cut off the reporting when trump won and all 3 states were leaning red without the results being posted

I'm blown away that in the last two elections the states mostly swung blue.
Was Romney really a worst candidate then Trump? Or does the wealthiest candidate win every time because it's rigged? Did all the voters from the last two elections stop voting and the new age group to vote is now primarily republican?
The 3rd party voting system is a joke. Why didn't republicans vote in a better candidate then Trump? Anyone that doesn't think this system is rigged is living in a dark world of self made lies deceit and denial

Anyway koods why are you still arguing for Hillary to win? Trump won the electoral college. Though in this case the USSC may be willing to argue it if she does win the popular vote... But I doubt it. Government doesn't like to blantantly contradict themselves.
If you are indeed still trying to say she could win the majority. I've only skimmed.
With nearly 99% of the ballots counted in the country, Clinton has a 190,000 vote advantage and that number has been growing steadily for hours. It is extremely unlikely that trump will end up with more votes than clinton. I am perfectly willing to concede that Trump is the new president, but it is utterly false to claim that trump was the preferred candidate. He barely won.

Really? How about you pull up some articles that predicted the same things that I predicted? I didn't regurgitate shit, that's what Hillary supporters have been doing. I kept an eye on social trends, ignored the polls, and formed my own analysis. Which by the way, was more accurate than ANY analysis put out by ANY news organization.

because I am yet to meet a liberal/progessive that actually understands that compromise means we work together on a solution as opposed to us working together for you to have your way while I'm screwed, because too many people from both sides are too willing to get their information from a fear mongering media about how a cheeto is the devil and that there is actually a lesser evil

you've always had access to healthcare in the US, you cannot possibly argue that, just because you dont like getting a bill for goods and services rendered doesnt mean you didnt have access. again, it's about the fear mongering

I'm glad the election is finally over. Now we can start phase 2 of every election cycle. 8 years (4 is possible but be realistic, it's most likely going to be the full 8) of "President XXXX is ruining this country!" President XXXX is fixing this country, President YYYY is the one who fucked it up and President ZZZZ would have made it worse. "You're an idiotic <insert party>." trails off to endless bickering..

Speaking for myself - I like that for the first time in my adult life, I have affordable health insurance and have been able to go get a bunch of stuff seen about that I'd previously been ignoring.
As opposed to in my early 20s when I ended up in debt to the tune of $3,000 because I got a bladder infection that spread to my kidney's.
Kind of nice to know that I'm taken care of in the event of an emergency.
If Obamacare goes away, I'm back to not being able to afford health care out of pocket and not being able to afford the cost of health insurance either.

thanks to obamacare insurance is actually unaffordable to me now, prior to obamacare I had insurance for myself and 2 children, it cost me a whopping $327/month through my company. when obamacare was passed I saw a small increase in my premium to $350/mo, when obamacare took effect my premiums increased to $475/months which placed them out of reach of affordability for a single father, I went to the marketplace website and used their calculator and found that a comparable plan for myself and my kids would cost me more than $900 per month and there was no possibility of subsidies. I checked a year later when open enrollment cam around again and discovered they made some changes, that it could now cost me $600 per month but only for myself and they recommended my kids to be put on medicaid, I applied for medicaid for my kids and was promptly rejected, maybe it's because my name didnt sound black enough, maybe it's because I'm a man, I assume it's because I earn too much to qualify but not enough to afford insurance. my earnings are certainly low enough that the IRS doesnt fine me for not carrying insurance and yet I still do not qualify for a subsidy
no in the time since I had to make the choice between keeping a health insurance policy and feeding my children, my daughter had broken her arm, the total of the bills was $32,000 which I will be paying on for quite some time, I broke my ankle just 2 months later and it's gone completely untreated and here we are, 2 years later and it's still a serious problem for me because I couldnt afford to take 3 months out of work, I couldnt afford the ER visit, I couldnt afford physical therapy or even an orthopedic to repair the damage done. now in 2010 had my daughter broke her arm it would have cost less that $4000 to fix that but thanks to the affordable care act medical costs have increased along with the costs of insurance so while it may be nice for you, those of us that arent making undeclared cash in tips and claiming earnings at minimum wage or less, we got fucked pretty hard
but hey, let's look at the state of obamacare now, insurance providers are pulling out, they're dropping coverage on many of their clients with most only carrying a hundred or so counties across the country, it seems that they got fucked as well, they're now forced to bear the brunt of the government subsidies that arent being paid so they're losing money and unlike the government who will simply increase takes when they want more cash, they have to downsize which puts more people out of work leaving more uninsured or they have to drop the coverage of the ones that are costing them the most which seems to be what's happening all over the country
obamacare is a failure and I hear all these stories from a few diehard obama supporters about how great it is but from what I had seen, those touting that they have such a great deal now still dont even have insurance, they still use the ER as a bandaid station and simply dont pay the bills
Why did your employer stop their contributions??? You actually think Trump is gonna fix this??? Obamacare didn't make your insurance unaffordable... The industry did. I have been paying what you pay for years because I'm a small business owner. Obamacare only made the copays and deductibles higher for the same coverage. I've always been fucked so I really don't bleed for anyone that bitches about the high cost of health care. Just don't be delusional and think Trump is gonna make things better. How old is your daughter? She should be paid for under the S C H I P program That the hag Hillary is responsible for. No child is liable for any medical payments in this country unless your income is more than $88,000.00 and even then, most states have sunsidies.
Quote:
Income Eligibility
46 States and the District of Columbia cover children up to or above 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) ($44,700 for a family of four in 2011), and 24 of these states offer coverage to children in families with income at 250% of the FPL or higher. States may get the CHIP enhanced match for coverage up to 300% of the FPL ($67,050 for a family of four in 2011), which is higher than the Medicaid federal funding matching rate. See information on CHIP Financing.
States that expand coverage above 300% of the FPL get the Medicaid matching rate. States have the option to provide continuous eligibility to children who remain eligible for CHIP.

Pris lives in a state that didn't expand medicaid because communism is bad. A number of republican states sued the Obama administration to be allowed to opt out of Medicaid expansion even though the Feds were going to foot the bill. If you remember, this was the one part of the Obamacare challenge in the Supreme Court that was successful. So, in the end, these states opted out of providing free or highly subsidized insurance to their citizens.
Pris is blaming Obamacare, but his problem was something that resulted from his governor's actions not Obama.

As far as I can tell the only state that has any appreciable outstanding ballots is Washington state and he would have to get like 80% of what isn't counted to over take Clinton. Her lead is in excess of 200k now.
I don't get it TBH. Every state is at 99% or more, and Washington is still at 70%. can anyone in Washington explain why their ballots are so hard to counT?
