Quick question about naphtha in regards to extracting DMT
    #23815280 - 11/09/16 06:02 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

From what I understand, using warm naphtha will absorb more DMT than cold naphtha.

My question is, does naphtha lose its DMT content as it cools?

For example, if you were to do a warm naphtha pull, shaking it etc. so it gets all the goodies but leave it in the bottle with the 'soup' for a day or two and then pulled it, would the end result contain less DMT than if it was pulled normally, before it cooled?

Roughly speaking..

The higher the temperature, the more material can be dissolved.
Further, when a solvent is saturated (that means the highest ammount of material is dissolved, it cannot "hold" anymore) and then forced to cool down,
the "exessing dissolved material" will crystalize out as solid crystals at the bottom? of the jar / flask, but not disappear.
But as long as the solvent is not saturated you won't notice any difference by simply changing temperature of the solvent. I think.
