Yeah, accident refers to the fluke in our system where the loser gets to still be president. Webster should feel lucky . Accident-elect Trump is only the fourth loser to get that privelege.

Liberals are so delusional, it's unbearable.

I don't know if you know this but the whole rest of the world works with a system where one vote counts as one vote. A head count who is for yay and who is for nay, just like decisions in politics and how Shroomery polls work.

There is nothing delusional about pointing out that Trump technically lost the elections. He did.

I'm glad he's in office though, you can have him.

You have a really shitty memory. NO, the Democrats did not have the majority in both houses during Obama's presidency. Republicans outnumbered Democrats in both the Senate and House of Representatives right around the time Obama was trying to pass universal healthcare, which was sometime around 2008.

TWO, if you bothered to do a lick of research, Obama kept trying to pass universal healthcare initially. The same type of universal healthcare that virtually every other developed country has. The Republicans blocked him at every attempt, and eventually it was passed and ratified only after it was changed to universal health insurance, which is NOT what he was trying to initially pass.

Jeez man where are you even getting your info from...

LOL, wrong.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/110th_United_States_Congress#Party_summary

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/111th_United_States_Congress#Party_summary

Democrats were only higher in both houses in the 112th Congress, from the years 2011 to 2012. Which doesn't even matter, because Obamacare was passed in 2010, which means that he was outnumbered by Republicans partially until then.

Please do your research properly next time.

He has no point and we don't elect by popular vote. We don't for a reason. The electoral vote gives smaller states a say, otherwise some areas of the country would run things. This evens it out a bit.

Evens what out? You mean vote redistribution. You take electoral votes from the larger, primarily liberal states and redistribute them to the the smaller, primarily republican states.

Now, please explain why we need to even it out? Is there a reason why a single vote in Wyoming is worth the same as four votes in California? I understand that back in the day they designed it to compensate for states where large population  of 3/5 people lived. I guess that 3/5 is still relevant now, except it represents the fraction of elections this century that were won by the first place finisher.

Perhaps you should do your research properly next time.

Quote:

The U.S. House of Representatives was safely Democratic as a result of the Nov. 4, 2008, elections by a margin of 257 – 199; the Democrats had gained 21 seats from the 2006-07 Congress. The real interesting ACA political dynamics began during the November 2008 U.S. Senate elections.

Going into the 2008 elections, the Senate consisted of 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and two Independents (Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Bernie Sanders of Vermont) who caucused with the Democrats. When the smoke cleared from those elections, the Democrats picked up eight seats to increase their majority to 57-41 (although Democrat Al Franken’s recount victory was not official until July 7). With the two Independents, the Democrats were one vote shy of the supermajority magic number of 60 they needed to ward off any filibuster attempts and move forward with broad healthcare reform legislation.

But on April 28, 2009, the dynamics changed when Pennsylvania Republican Arlen Spector changed parties, giving Senate Democrats that coveted 60th vote.

Now the Democrats had a safe majority in the House and a filibuster-proof supermajority of 60 in the Senate. That scenario lasted only four months before fate intervened. Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts died on August 25, 2009, leaving the Democrats, once again, with 59 seats (counting the two Independents). Exactly one month later, on September 25, Democrat Paul Kirk was appointed interim senator from Massachusetts to serve until the special election set for January 19, 2010 – once again giving the Democrats that 60th vote. But the intrigue was just beginning.

With the supermajority vote safely intact once again, the Senate moved rather quickly to pass the ACA – or ObamaCare – on Christmas Eve 2009 in a 60 – 39 vote (Kentucky Republican Senator Jim Bunning chose not to vote since he was not running for reelection). The House had previously passed a similar, although not identical bill on November 7, 2009, on a 220 – 215 vote. One Republican voted “aye,” and 39 Democrats were against.

No. I mean even out the power of the larger/smaller states. The partisan makeup of the states is irrelevant (unless your side loses in which case many whine like small children and pretend not to understand the reasoning behind our system).

Been done to death. Direct democracy is two wolves (more populated states) and a sheep (less populated states) deciding what's for dinner.

the first thing we need to point out is that most people are stupid, before
obamacare there was plenty of funding available to cover healthcare costs
for the lower income folks with no health care coverage, there are charity
care hospitals such as erlanger in chattnooga, grady in atlanta and within
20 miles of me, the 2 closest hospitals provide charity care. the problem is,
most people are too stupid or maybe just too lazy to fill out the few extra
forms that would be required in order to have the hospital seek out that
funding and because of that, they start getting the bills, even after the
bills come, they dont contact the hospitals to explain the situation and have
them again seek that funding so the bills still keep coming and it eventually
goes on their credit which means they cant finance a new car or a house for a
measly 7 years. somehow that has destroyed their lives

while I was still married to my ex wife, she came down with pneumonia, she
spent 3 weeks in the ICU and another week in a regular room before being
discharged. I never saw a single bill from the doctors or the hospital and never
received a call from their collections department on a hospital stay that would
have surely cost me $50,000 or more

contrary to what people like to believe and claim, obamacare doesnt provide
insurance, it doesnt provide medical care or access to treatment, it doesnt
provide anything but a requirement for people to carry insurance and provides
the government a way of fining you for failing to have insurance. lucky for me,
I dont earn enough to be fined. unlucky for me, I dont earn enough to be fined
which also means I dont earn enough for insurance but I do earn too much to
qualify for these subsidies I have heard everyone is supposedly getting

so to answer your question;

obamacare is unneeded and has even proven detremental from my own experience,
it's driven up healthcare costs in the US and has actually eliminated a lot of the
charity care in the US

Universal healthcare may be a great option, it would certainly work for me but at
what cost does it come since universal healthcare does actually cover everyone nor
does it cover all treatments

Private insurance works for those than can afford it, unfortunately thanks to
obamacare, also known as the affordable care act, affordable insurance is no
longer an option for me because the premiums keep increasing and for me, it's even
more expensive through the obamacare  website which merely connects the users with
providers

Democrats were only higher in both houses in the 112th Congress, from the years 2011 to 2012. Which doesn't even matter, because Obamacare was passed in 2010, which means that he was outnumbered by Republicans partially until then.

Please do your research properly next time.

You do your research, Your lies are easily debunked

[quoteq]The House passed the Senate bill with a 219–212 vote on March 21, 2010, with 34 Democrats and all 178 Republicans voting against it. The next day, Republicans introduced legislation to repeal the bill. Obama signed ACA into law on March 23, 2010.

Hillary supporters will be caught on cam being violent idiots...Trump supporters will simply coordinate better.

wait and see. (PS: none of the Trump supporters here are that unhinged...in fact, it seems there are more unhinged Hillary fans whom are running amok right now -- but sure Trump fans are too, they are just being coy. threats of violence are being reported. Trump fans tend to use their big mouths, more though, than their repressed hands -- so food for thought -- Hillary's kids have got to calm their tits)
