I assumed it was mycilium that is drying out whenever I've seen it, but I'm really not sure. Either way it's not a sign of contamination if that's what you're wondering.

Looks healthy to me. Just the myc metabolizing the dye as others have said.

Awesome i figured it was one of thr two,  myc piss or the food coloring. Thanks guys just poured some plates i have alot of work to do
