If you truly care about fair elections, we should probably start with the premise that the candidate who gets the most votes wins. We need to repeal the electoral college.

No. They have the responsibility to confirm. Look it up in the constitution

and check this out. the crooks are crooking
http://observer.com/2016/11/autopen-in-virginia-and-polls-kept-open-in-nevada/
Speaking for myself - I like that for the first time in my adult life, I have affordable health insurance and have been able to go get a bunch of stuff seen about that I'd previously been ignoring.
As opposed to in my early 20s when I ended up in debt to the tune of $3,000 because I got a bladder infection that spread to my kidney's.
Kind of nice to know that I'm taken care of in the event of an emergency.
If Obamacare goes away, I'm back to not being able to afford health care out of pocket and not being able to afford the cost of health insurance either.

thanks to obamacare insurance is actually unaffordable to me now, prior to obamacare I had insurance for myself and 2 children, it cost me a whopping $327/month through my company. when obamacare was passed I saw a small increase in my premium to $350/mo, when obamacare took effect my premiums increased to $475/months which placed them out of reach of affordability for a single father, I went to the marketplace website and used their calculator and found that a comparable plan for myself and my kids would cost me more than $900 per month and there was no possibility of subsidies. I checked a year later when open enrollment cam around again and discovered they made some changes, that it could now cost me $600 per month but only for myself and they recommended my kids to be put on medicaid, I applied for medicaid for my kids and was promptly rejected, maybe it's because my name didnt sound black enough, maybe it's because I'm a man, I assume it's because I earn too much to qualify but not enough to afford insurance. my earnings are certainly low enough that the IRS doesnt fine me for not carrying insurance and yet I still do not qualify for a subsidy
no in the time since I had to make the choice between keeping a health insurance policy and feeding my children, my daughter had broken her arm, the total of the bills was $32,000 which I will be paying on for quite some time, I broke my ankle just 2 months later and it's gone completely untreated and here we are, 2 years later and it's still a serious problem for me because I couldnt afford to take 3 months out of work, I couldnt afford the ER visit, I couldnt afford physical therapy or even an orthopedic to repair the damage done. now in 2010 had my daughter broke her arm it would have cost less that $4000 to fix that but thanks to the affordable care act medical costs have increased along with the costs of insurance so while it may be nice for you, those of us that arent making undeclared cash in tips and claiming earnings at minimum wage or less, we got fucked pretty hard
but hey, let's look at the state of obamacare now, insurance providers are pulling out, they're dropping coverage on many of their clients with most only carrying a hundred or so counties across the country, it seems that they got fucked as well, they're now forced to bear the brunt of the government subsidies that arent being paid so they're losing money and unlike the government who will simply increase takes when they want more cash, they have to downsize which puts more people out of work leaving more uninsured or they have to drop the coverage of the ones that are costing them the most which seems to be what's happening all over the country
obamacare is a failure and I hear all these stories from a few diehard obama supporters about how great it is but from what I had seen, those touting that they have such a great deal now still dont even have insurance, they still use the ER as a bandaid station and simply dont pay the bills

Obama will probably take the garland nomination to the Supreme Court. By not acting on the nomination, there is a reasonable argument that the senate has forfeited their right to advise and consent.
I am very feeling better now that Clinton has come out ahead in the popular vote. Trump won on a technicality but he didn't get the most support. I also wonder what the guys who were complaining about a rigged system think about a democratic process where the person who got the most votes doesn't win, and if they think there is a problem when this has happened twice in 16 years?
you love being wrong dont you, do you actually know what consent means? it means that the senate grants their permission for the candidate to receive an appointment, without that permission they will not ascend to the supreme court but hey, Obama's legacy and shit.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appointment_and_confirmation_to_the_Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States
Quote:
The appointment and confirmation of Justices to the Supreme Court of the United States involves several steps set forth by the United States Constitution, which have been further refined and developed by decades of tradition. Candidates are nominated by the President of the United States and must face a series of hearings in which both the nominee and other witnesses make statements and answer questions before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which can vote to send the nomination to the full United States Senate. Confirmation by the Senate allows the President to formally appoint the candidate to the court.
now that the republicans hold for the first time in almost 100 years, both houses of congress and the executive office, it seems that canada is your only option

Why the fuck did this post twice ?
Anyway koods why are you still arguing for Hillary to win? Trump won the electoral college. Though in this case the USSC may be willing to argue it if she does win the popular vote... But I doubt it. Government doesn't like to blantantly contradict themselves.

On my way home, I got into a 20 minute conversation with the attendant at the gas station about the election. He was a North African immigrant who has been here for two years. He gave me free coffee and donuts. Quite the contrast with the drunk assholes in front of the White House.
