Mescaline is my all time favourite drug in the world ever by miles and miles. Anyone who hasn't tried it; I really really advise it.
It's like natures MDMA; so gentle, so real, so full of love, and a perfect daytime and social drug to boot - on doses <500mg I can do anything I would normally do too - unlike most other psyche's. I find time for a mescal trip at least once a month, it never fails to restore my faith in life.
As for DMT, like a few people said above; I have a healthy fear and respect for it. I feel like it's the biggest mind opener out there, and somehow a connection to the life 'force' - it's taught me so much about myself - even that 'Humble Student' in my title comes from my first forays into the DMT world many years ago when I felt it ask me what I wanted from exploring those realms. I realised in response to the question that I was 'a humble student of life - I#m just here to learn'.
A friend smoked it almost daily for a year and he said that the apprehension before smoking it never goes away. But treated with absolute respect it's never actually done anything to scare me - I just know it could.
Really weird how I got this gut urge to dive in this morning though. Never had anything like that drug wise. Plenty of cravings, but this felt like a spiritual tug on my heart.
I feel like in the depths of the trip you can see clearly how everything that occurs is synchronicity.

I've done the same a couple of times, completely home made mix. My wife ended up smoking the whole of my last batch, but since I've made a new one and attempted it a few times I gotta say - fair play if you can make it through a whole joint of it. I find I manage to get about halfway and then completely forget what the fuck I was doing and never get a full blast off. It's really nice stuff though, but perfecting the 'DMT Machine' - fuck me, of the many ways I've smoked DMT, that thing is the key to absolute blast off.
Thanks to everyone in this thread for wishing love. Lots of love right back at ya!

I have tried DMT, AMT (supposedly), MDMA/MDA, LSD, Mescaline, numerous 2C compounds, Psilocin/psilocybin, and a few other things which trusted people said to take a pinky dab full and hold on.
Mescaline is still my favorite, but I have never broken through with DMT. I feel like the come up on DMT is terrifying, the anxiety I get is not good, of course when I was trying it I was on suboxone and klonopin daily so that could have had something to do with it. I think if I ever take DMT in the future, I would want to do so with a family member of mine (bro) and I wouldn't want anything else in my system, no kratom, nothing.
But I don't see how someone could have a bad time with mesc, even at massive doses, it wraps you in a blanket of warmth and eases you through the experience.

I was in the exact same position until this morning. Even at sub breakthrough doses it's taught me some of the most valuable lessons in my life, a couple of which have been/will be tattooed on me. I'd say definitely push through the resistance not to do it man, for a guy that thinks like you do I think that you'll get so much from it if you push through that fear.
I don't count it as recreational at all, unlike everything else you listed, and normally only seek its guidance when befuddled by some aspect of my life. But the rewards for the bravery required to visit those realms is greater than a thousand hours of meditation for me, and sometimes they last for a few days afterwards before they start to fade.
If I ever had to choose a teacher to follow, it would be DMT. I've met some fucking wise and enlightened humans but DMT feels like absolute truth and infinite wisdom.
Or maybe I'm just deluding myself and it's all coincidence and waffling from my mind. I highly doubt it though.

I seem to be very sensitive to DMT (maybe). When I smoke the changa I made I use a bong, much less harsh. I can't even imagine smoking/wasting a joint of it. The blend I made gets me where I want to go. I am guessing from what I made that 20-30mg has been smoked at a time by me, and that is as far as I have gone or want to for now.

The stuff is just so...powerful. the smell and taste of it even shouts out "power" in my mind.
i never weigh my doses with dmt. i just get a metal or glass pipe and put half-smoked weed in it, and load dmt on top of it.
just thinking about it gives me the chills. i love seeing people smoke this amazing substance.
