Bruising or Contams?

Hey all, I'm new to the community, and I just started my first grow. I'm about 10 days in and 2 of my 1-qt ryeberry jars are showing some scary signs. I've looked up some pics and I'm not really sure if this is bruising or contams.

If it is contams can I leave it and see if the myc will overtake it or should I just toss?
Thanks guys! Snawwz

I'd toss it out. It looks quite aspergillusy. And although mycelium has been known to grow over aspergillus, it's still there under the mycelium, lying dormant until the myc gets too weak to hold it

Don't mind me, it's just that I have not looked into contaminants and I'm sure that's really basic common knowledge, but it's not knowledge I possess until now. Thank you for un-intentionally prompting me to look into contaminants.

Ahh bummer, but thanks guys! I'll throw it in the garden, and maybe one day in the future I'll wake up to a pleasant surprise.
2/4 jars remaining on my first grow

I once buried some contaminated grains behind my shed. The next day they were all dug up and probably eaten by some wild animal Btw are your jars allowing for proper gas exchange? I noticed you still have your tin foil on top there.

Buzzkilll about losin the shrooms!
Good catch, yeah I thought I could manage with foil, but quickly realized I couldn't. My first 4 jars are using tinfoil with some holes in the lids. I started another 4 jars about a week after with polyfill for FAE.

Oh jesus, you don't have any filtration? Yeah that explains why you have mold at the top of your jar.
One other tip, it looks like you might have filled your jar too full. Aim for about 2/3 fill for a jar that you're going to inoculate with spores. If you fill it too full, then you can't shake it effectively when it comes time for that.
