Well the most recent cigar I smoked was by far the worst I've had so far. It was just way too bitter for me.

Its funny because this was the most expensive one ive bought so far (11 dollars) vs the other 5 dollar ones ive bought which werent that bad (one was reallly good).
Sorry my thumb is so gross btw, I have a terrible habit of picking the skin around it

Went to a CAO event and picked up some Amazon Basins. It was buy 5 CAO cigars get 2, so i also got a free CAO Colombia (smoked it, was decent) and CAO Consiglieri (havnt smoked it yet)

Amazon Basin a seriously awesome cigar. Its pretty hard to find, but if you do see them, i strongly suggest you get some. It also has a tobacco band that you can smoke right through, so it has some novelty value on top of being an amazingly flavorful smoke
Those are so cool and look awesome. I have'nt been able to find one yet unfortunately. Glad you got to enjoy it .
Today's stick was a Padron 1964 anniversary series maduro. Taste is phenomenal and i love the profile. Very 'Caribbean'; black pepper, molasses, and rum. Full body. The draw was surprisingly loose however. Dat taste though .

Just lit up a Diamond Crown TAA 2016 charity cigar.

Super tasty. The first inch is almost overwhelmingly peppery, but it mellows out pretty quickly into an oaky flavor. Only about 3 inches in but its super good.
I definately recommend picking up the Toast Across America 2-pack. the 2016s are common and you might even find a 2015 here or there. its 50 bucks, but the cigars are top-tier and the money goes to a good cause. They both some with an OpusX and JC Newman/DiamondCrown in a unique vitola

Sweet! I hope that it finished out well for you.
Unfortunately, i'm having trouble with my phone's charging port and cant import new photos from it right now. Today was a Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Reserva in toro. The tobacconist claimed that it was very full bodied with big pepper. My experience was quite different! I'd say medium to medium-full body. I got no pepper out ov it whatsoever. Conversely, i found it quite creamy with dominant caramel and some honey and even green tea. A great winter smoke. Draw was a tad tight at first but loosened to perfection. Very good.
A cigar gives one incentive to think. While i like reading with one, i can also just sit around alone doing nothing but smoking lost in thought. Absorbing the tastes, entranced by the smoke, contemplating the world around me. I believe that they lend toward left brain thinking to balance out one's wistful and creative right hemisphere. Analytical perspective tidying up cranial projections like an earth tone headband for wild hair.

Bump for awesome cigar.
Been saving this bad motherfucker specifically for new years. A Don Arturo Destino al Siglo de Familia, from 2013. Similar flavor to Opus X and other high end fuentes. Perfect draw & construction, but that should go without saying.
And it is by far the most beautiful cigar i've ever had the pleasure of smoking.
