Sounds like when you scratched the top layer off it bruised the mycelium.

Blue isn't bad, green as fuck is

Yea you guys are righy, it got alot bluer just over today- this is olny m first flush the substrate seems to be pretty dry and pulling away from the edges, did this contribue to the bruising? The yield wasnt bad, about 200g wet, but what can i do for my second flush to ensure i ge the best yield? Should i scratch the casing too layer again or just let it be and hydrate/dunk the casing? Thanks in advance guys
