First plates photos and a couple of contamination questions

Hey all, here's some photos of the first plates I've made from a MS print. Starting to see contamination...cool. About 1/2 of the plates are showing some contam. action, the others have no action yet. Waay too much parafilm disclaimer. Working on that. Questions are: Is the margin of the green mold mycelium and should I try to transfer it or is the plate going to need to be tossed? Also trying to clone my first 2 mushrooms today from a MS syringe into rye which I know is a gamble because they are untested for activity, and I'm new to agar,however...If I am cloning 2 mushrooms from the same jar is it likely that they could be from different sectors and should be treated as if they are different strains? I do not have enough of an understanding about sectors, isolation, strains and how that plays out in a jar of substrate. I have read here that there might be a dominant mycelium in a substrate etc. Trying to read lots, but...noob. Always grateful.

Sorry man but all I see on those plates is mold. Here's how I use Parafilm: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23717103
It's my understanding that a clone can actually result in multiple sectors/sets of genetics.

It'd be more cost effective to cut that parafilm down to half inch strips.

Thanks G. Since the plates have mold, but it's only been 4 days since I inoculated them and I'm guessing that the spores haven't germinated yet, should I wait to see if the spores germinate and then if they do germinate transfer clean mycelium? Does the mold tend to contaminate the whole plate?

If I see mold the plate goes right in to the trash, especially if it's sporulating already. It's just so easy to disturb the spores and end up with mold all over the plate or even hidden with the culture it's really not worth the effort. I'd say start more plates.
Let's see what others have to say also.
