doin it right?

I have come to the end of my first run, and the problem I had was that i had a few jars lag behind in colonization and now they are flushing.
I used my smoker(UDS-ugly drum smoker) for the larger batches, pound at a time. It could handle more, but thats all I was getting per week. It doesn't use much fuel, but I don't think it's worth sparking up the thing for a measly ounce or so.
I tried just sticking them on a fan, but fuck me that's slower than molasses in the middle of winter. I liked the airflow part, but there should be heat as well.
I cook, and I grill. A lot. In the winter I grill indoors using the broiler. There are times when you keep the oven door cracked when broiling. If I could get an even heat-not broiling- and get air flow, then it should work like the smoker. It has both of these qualities.
I run the smoker at 190-200F. I set the oven to bake @215F. I place the goodies on a cooling rack that has aluminum foil on the feet to keep it from going through the oven rack. After the oven has come to temp I place the cooling rack in the oven, hang a dish towel that has been folded once over the door, and close the door. Doing that should create airflow, as hot air expands, leaves the through the top, and pulls cooler air in from the bottom, rinse and repeat.
It takes a little over an hour(usually 1.25h) for 2oz. Am i overdoing this, going about it wrong? Chime in and educate this idiot that sits before me.

Sorry if I didn't read this correctly but this is your first run, although you usually use a smoker to dry a pound a week because that's all you grow, and you want to know if you are doing it right. I'm sorry but what?

i knocked up a plethora of jars, ran out of room in my 2 SGFCs, went and bought 15 blocks of coir, 2 jumbo bags of verm and a 20lbs bag of gypsum. I spawned to coir/verm, and made trays. It flowed over from my grow room and into the living room as things progressed.
i had a few cakes come in early, then the majority started fruiting at the same time, then a few trickled in at the end. 4 flushes, 4 .5 weeks of collecting and drying. I already had the smoker, couldn't afford a dehydrator(disabled vet that the government will not pay), so gave it a whirl. Just a little over a pound wet dried in 1.75 hours. Fuck me running, it worked. You could get 4 or 5 pounds in that fucker, set it and forget it. Its not worth firing up the smoker for a wee bit of shrooms, though.
I am asking if I am going about it the right way because if there is a more efficient way to do it indoors then I would really like to know. I suppose you could throw them in a bag of rice, but that would take for fucking ever. Not what I am looking for.
i hope that cleared it up a bit. On heavy meds and not quite right in the head atm, but I am trying, lol. Thank you for responding
