Agar question....Clonex

My first question is about Agar, its a simple question but I cant seem to find an answer....so please help me out.?
Once you make the agar and PC it....can you let it cool all the way down the room temp? The reason I ask is I let the PC cool down over night after it cooked at 15 psi for 45 min. But then it cooled for another 6-7 hours more. So when I took it out it was in gel form. So can you inoculate in gel form or should I put it back in the PC for 15 min to return the agar to liquid and then inoculate with spores? or just poke the needle through the agar surface?
Lastly, I ran into to this product called Clonex https://www.amazon.com/Clonex-Rooting-Gel-100-ml/dp/B004Q3NN4W on the web and been doing some research and this stuff works on mushrooms!! I just cant figure out where to apply it? Meaning do i put it in the agar ? or in the grain jar or mix in substrate? Have any of you tried this stuff? How do you apply it to your tek?
Thanks for your help in advance.........

Clonex has nothing to do with mushroom cultivation really, it's expensive as shit too so just keep it for your weed plants.
Yes you let the agar solidify before inoculating it. If you're doing no-pour then you let it solidify before working with it. If you're doing pour agar then you pour it in liquid form after PCing and then let it solidify in the petri dishes.

its a little dry read but there is a lot of study done on it and it is proven to increace the growth / yield of mushrooms........check it out. I just cant be certain how they are applying it...i think they are using it in place of agar?
Guess I will try it and report back ........any input is welcome.

With the yields people are currently getting using only CVG, monotubs and grains, any additive that costs that much seems frivolous. (I'm talking full canopies of dense fruits without any fancy additives.) It's ultimately your prerogative whether or not you try it, but in my opinion it's really a waste of your time and money.
Another thing to note is you wont really be able to tell if there is even a difference in yield between additive and no additive if you're using MS genetics. You'd need a monoculture to know for sure.
Proper experimentation is great, don't get me wrong. That's how people have gotten so far with cultivation as it is.
Although, if you're not sure how to even use agar it may be best to learn the basics first before straying from them too heavily. Learning the basics will also help you formulate better experiments and ideas in the future.
Lastly, the article you linked is in relation to fungi that are only very distantly related to the mushrooms we are trying to grow. So distantly in fact, they're not even in the same phyllum.
Good luck anyway, and welcome to Shroomery.

I agree..........thanks for your input. I will say that the Clonex ( from what I am reading ) helps with contams and produces not only more quantity but a stronger strain that is less susceptible to contams .
