What does your mind feel like? * 1
    #23805849 - 11/06/16 09:31 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Are you able to describe the place inside your mind? I think there are significant genetic and structural neuro differences between our brains that make our minds feel and work differently.

My mind is primarily visual and auditory. Like, I speak in my own voice inside my mind and can listen to  and create any music. And visually, it's like I have a movie theater inside my mind, and I create and visualize anything imaginable in high definition 3 dimentional color HD Blu Ray, it's can be crazy when on drugs.

But I'm really bad at math in my mind, even addition and subtraction can sometimes get me if I don't have a calculator.

I was talking to my friend about this and she says she almost cannot visualize anything. Like she said she can't create the image of a person or a landscape in her mind, but can at least sort of imagine faces.

But she's really good at math in her mind

Shits pretty crazy to me. What is your mind like?

These days I pretty much spend all day making awful jokes in my head and laughing to myself.  I used to have alot of self destructive urges but somewhere along the line I snapped and lost sight of what was most important to me.

I have a hard time understanding people even when they are speaking clearly, sort of like an auditory dyslexia.  It drives me nuts sometimes but at least my hearing is ok.  I'm good at visualizing things in 3d even moving parts and complex systems.

mine is very vague, i guess you could say foggy.
Even when not high, i rarely am able to keep a precise and clean line of thought.. My thoughts will bounce one place and then go in completely different directions. Often times its a ghost town, with me idling or daydreaming about nothing in particular.

I process thought as speech, which is why i like to write. Its easy when you communicate to yourself through words

I am very relaxed, peaceloving, excitement loving and overall loving and spiritual on the inside. My rational side and emotional side are best of pals and my Dark Side is completely underfoot and content with this.

I have my trials and tribulations, more than most, but generally its very easy for me to get into a peaceful state.

Free and fiery. Vibrant and sparkling electricity, the neurons are explosive and powerful and little can stop them. I can visualize almost anything in my head.... my imagination probably made me disconnect from reality for a period of my life.

Spacious, observant of my surroundings but also buzzing with a sense of peace, colors, sounds. Lots of my own voice going on, the usual business. A resonance too, a lot like Aum, on the top of my head. It's a good morning

I too have trouble doing math, sometimes even basic math, but I love reading novels and can understand intricate musical compositions. Most of my thoughts, on the creative side, are less logical and more about images, sounds, and abstract notions.

I'm really good at math and I can visualize a lot of math.

I think being able to visualize math is a large part of what separates people who are good at it and people who aren't.

Chaos and randomness.

My control over my own mind has never been good, and I imagine it is extremely chaotic compared to most people. I have relatively good control over my internal monologue, and of course I can think up images and memories, but holding a made up still image in my mind is difficult. It just gets distorted, warped, randomly altered, replaced, etc.

Most of my thought occurs as internal monologue which sets off associations which may be any kind of thought eg audio, visual, emotional, etc. (you're all psychedelic users, you know what its like to have associations set off by thought).

Oh, and there's music playing perpetually. Luckily I can switch what is playing quite easily, but stopping it is near impossible and causes unusual and unpleasant mindfuck when stopped.

Mental math is better than the majority of people.  Constructing mental pictures is good, putting those images/ideas into verbal and written words is great.  Memorizing numbers is easy.  Troubling shooting problems is fun. Getting a hold/grasping of my mind has never been a problem once you've lost it before.  People's reactions to 'stress' is mind blowing, get a grip for crying out loud.

I can try a more poetic approach to expressing my beliefs.

"Subjectively I can say the third eye is real, it is the thought in my mind, the voice on my shoulder and the friend in hard times."

What I believe the third eye is, is the human mind.
What I believe the human mind is, is the Central Nervous System which consists of the brain and spinal cord.

So from my beliefs I think the mind is the Central Nervous System and the body is the Peripheral Nervous System which is everything outside the brain and spinal cord.
