Shrooms & vomit phobia

Tomorrow I am tripping on shrooms for the very first time. I have only ever smoked weed and have never done any other drugs or psychedelics. I've never even drank before. Part of the reason I haven't tried much is due to my emetophobia (vomit phobia).
I'm not too scared about the trip itself; in fact, I'm a bit excited for it. But I am pretty scared of getting sick. I don't want to feel incredibly nauseous and have a panic attack and end up having a bad trip, all due to my silly little phobia.
So what are the best ways to reduce nausea? Should I eat them with something, or make tea? Should I smoke a bit of weed as I'm coming up? I know nausea/vomiting isn't actually a big threat and I'll probably feel better if I just "let it out" if I need to get sick, but I can't help but worry anyway. Just the thought of me getting sick is unbearable. I actually haven't thrown up in years due to my phobia. I don't want to have a bad trip & a horrible night. I know the effects are different for everyone, and some people say I probably won't get sick, while others say I will.
Basically, I just want to know how I can prevent the nausea, and what will help me "ride it out" & cope if I end up getting nauseous/sick anyway. And also ways my trip sitter can help if my stomach starts acting up & it triggers my phobia.
Oh, I also should mention that I have problems with acid reflux. It's nothing serious, just gives me stomach pains every now and then and sometimes makes me lose my appetite. But will this contribute to the nausea, too? I take Prilosec for it every now and then, so would taking it before my trip be a good or bad idea?

I find it odd that people get sick from shrooms. I don't even get nausea from alcohol anymore. Never ever felt sick from shrooms or any psychedelic.
I'm predicting you are going to go through a major introspective trip worrying about vomiting and how to control it (in your head).
My first acid trip my sister said that LSD makes your brain bleed. I really freaked when my brain cherry popped.

I think you will most likely be fine. Yesterday was my first shroom trip and i started off with a gram of cyanescens. An hour later I literally stuffed 3 grams in my mouth in under a minute and chewed it all up. I also had a meal about 3 hours prior to dosing. It may just depend on the individual though as I can usually eat raw amanitas and morning glory seeds with no problem. I think that if you worry too much about nausea before the trip you will somehow mentally make yourself get nausea during the trip worrying about it.

In South America and the Amazons vomiting is looked at in quite a different manner, usually. This aversion to it is apparently more of a western attitude, being ashamed generally and disgusted by the act. However, over there, natural plant emetics are routinely administered to both adult and children alike.
Obviously they believe the vomiting to be a cleansing act. Pretty often they administer gross mixtures (such as gen feces and urine; etc), in order to vomit, on purpose. And I also heard they do it before beginning a diet or some other start.
So it teaches them to just let go. Not sure if this has much use in the modern world.
If that's really a concern maybe the drugs just aren't for you. Maybe try it in a tea with lots of honey. Or, even try acid since I hear that has less a chance of inducing vomiting and nausea. Marijuana edibles probably have a good chance of causing nausea.
I can't claim to be an expert on physiology but, in all seriousness, I'd probably just roll with it. Also the more you vomit the more you can get used to it and it'll be less a problem, supposedly.

That would be good advice for someone who's just worried about vomiting, but being scared or worried about something and having a legitimate phobia are not the same thing.
There's really nothing you can say to OP that will make them unafraid of vomiting. That's how phobias work. The person who experiences the phobia can be entirely aware of the fact that their phobia is irrational, but that won't stop them from experiencing the irrational fear.

There are a few ways in which mushrooms can cause nausea.
The first is due to chitin, an indigestible substance that makes up the cell walls of the mushroom. Because your stomach can't break it down, some people experience gastrointestinal discomfort when they eat mushrooms. You can avoid this by making a tea, and straining out and discarding the mushroom pulp.
The second is due to the psilocin and psilocybin binding to and activating serotonin receptors in your gastrointestinal tract. This can be avoided by taking a substance which bonds more readily and strongly to those same receptor sites. The two most common ones that I'm aware of are fresh ginger and lemon essential oil, which both contain the same active ingredient, though lemon essential oil contains it in a much greater amount.
The third is due to hallucinations that affect your perception of information coming from your vestibular system, the sensory system that your body uses to maintain balance and coordinate motor function. This is the least likely, and some people are more prone to it than others, the type of people who typically experience things like motion sickness. You can combat this with something like dramamine or a small dose of benadryl, but I would only recommend you do this if you feel you need to, as those types of medications can dull your trip somewhat.

Make a tea with lemon. Eat some Ginger 10-30 minutes before drinking the tea.
This always allows me a very comfortable trip.
The only thing that could make you nauseous doing it like this is your serotonin receptors in your stomach.

Shrooms took away some of my phobias. I'd try 4-aco-dmt if you're that worried. It's similar and I've never thrown up on it even on extremely high doses.

I primarily take oral DMT and Harmalas. One thing i've learned, the vomiting ain't shit, and while i like to keep the medicine down, if i need to purge, i'll purge. I just hate the nausea. Thankfully for me though, the Harmala-related nausea and vomiting seems to go away once the Harmala reverse tolerance is built up, body load also cleans up.

I have puked up toxins from fasting. I don't think puking is always good. Also if it's native doesn't always make it right.
