Owsley is special for the role he played in history. i doubt his LSD was any better than anything any other clandestine chemists are putting out today, probably lower quality due to his lack of experience with chemistry, and i guarantee if any were sitting in a box some hippy buried 60 years ago it wold have degraded to the quality of acid thats been sitting in someones hot car all summer tour.

I agree.
I love the dead, but got wore out being around so many deadheads all the time in the past, it was like a competition to see who could be the deadest deadhead of them all, shit was lame man.
If you disagreed with the hippie gods who would drift around the lot smelling like patchouli and greasy hair, you were not being kind, it was like a cult.
I got nothing against deadheads, love many of them, but some people make being a deadhead their life, and they become nothing more than that.

I'm sure his acid was just fine, and that it was no different from all the other acid, just like all the acid that has ever been taken has been just like all the other acid.
Not all L is created equal

You have never taken any. That's a for sure. Owsley and some of his group like Nick Sands produced very good L.

Have some respect for what has come before you. Truth is truth. The Dead had and have a way of bringing people into that sacred space. I identify as a Deadhead. If you haven't tripped to the music or gone to a show, yout opinion is just born out of pure ignorance.

Owsleys acid was different. Do some digging. It's all there.

This is 'acid' - lysergic acid diethylamide:

If Owsley's was "different" (it wasn't) it wasn't 'acid'.

isomers/stereoisomers
just because something isn't LSD-25 doesn't mean it's not LSD. similar to the variation in forms of DMT

There are four possible isomers of LSD, but only the d-lysergic acid diethyl amide form is active. The other rotation forms - l-lysergic acid diethyl amide, d and l iso-lysergic acid diethyl amide - are inactive. They have no pharmacological role.

that doesn't mean they don't have a pharmacological role

LSD Trips are too tame for my liking. Even at high doses there may be a loss of ego but there's no break down. Blotter art is a message from the producer to the consumer. subtleties and requests. also if we're going to have an effective psychedelic revolution, we're going to have to market it towards people with still developing brains -- aka children

The members of the popular band Phish already tried psychedelic revolution on underage girls with still developing bodies and brains.
I think they went to jail for that.
