On one hand I hope Trump wins so all the Hilary supporters cry tears of blood, and on the other hand I hope Hilary wins so all the Trump supporters cry tears of blood. It's a real tossup

It's hard to choose. It's like having food poisoning and deciding which you like better, projectile vomiting or constant diarrhea. And having to deal with it for the next 4 years.

It really doesn't matter. Left or Right either way. It's 2 cheeks on 1 ass, and it's all the same shit.

Normally i would agree but if trump wins that means that fat fuck Chris Christie is going to move up and thats the last thing we need is letting that sweaty cheeto fingers into the white house

My mom (who is very religious and long-term republican) said she hopes Trump's running just to prove a point and will step down to let Pence be president.
I couldn't argue with her. She's so hopeless that she's just hoping on hope. And it's sad.

That's just like my dad. He thinks the rapture will happen any moment , once he had bad seizures and was hallucinating nothing but demons and rapture. All the wars and bad stuff going on basically. That made me hate our religion more then usual. I still have a deep despise for revelations in specific. It's an entire book of thing fear mongering hellfire and brimstone.

Well I do think we are coming close to what would be revelations. I just don't think it's going to be very much like what modern Christians think it's going to be.
I don't particularly like the fear mongering and punishment of the religion either. I think it may be exactly what makes it so volatile.

Well the way I look at it is probably every decade for the last 100 years or so people have been convinced that the end was so near and here it is 30-40 years after the term "doomsday preppers" was personified and no apocalypse has happened.
The world almost went nuclear in the early 80s when a Russian icbm sub got a false launch indicator saying that we launched one single nuke at the Russians. The commander of the sub was trained specifically to see a nationwide nuclear launch instead of a single launch so he made the decision not to retaliate. Later they learned there was a faulty wire in the nuclear launch indicators. I feel like that's the closest we have come to a true apocalypse.

Well the fact we are currently capable of making the end of the world (and steadily are with overconsumption) makes all those previous times paranoia, while actual doomsday scenarios apart from the wrath of God are increasingly adding up.
I don't think it's wise to look at it as a prophesied apocalypse that WILL happen but rather a warning that it can if we don't pay attention to our actions. And not paying attention to whether we are homos and adulters but to pay attention to things that have a realistic chance of setting up catastrophic consequences.
I think the bible and other religious scripture were an attempt to educate people on the idea of karma. But we have corrupted the concept of karma by making the consequences of our actions dictated by outside other worldly forces, rather than logical consequences that come as a result of not using reason and foresight.
This election is in fact a good example of that.
