Getting over a break up

About a year ago I officially got out of a 3 year relationship with this girl. At the time I thought it was really good that we ended things, and I couldn't have been happier. 4-5 months later I went to rehab to clean up, and when I got out I started thinking about our relationship and about her a lot, and it's been eating me up inside how I treated her in the relationship, what I did to her, and I think I still love her. It gets me really down sometimes and I'll cry.
I'm not sure what to make of this, seeing as how it's been a year since it's happened and now I'm feeling like total shit about it.

If you treated her badly, and now think you love her....show her your love by staying the fuck away from her

Won't hurt to contact her, say hey, i feel really bad about how things went, just wanted to tell ya that....
Maybe youll feel better, especially if she forgives you.
Then youll know better what to think and will feel better because owing someone money or apology either one will make you feel less....

It depends on the bad you did to her. If you beat her or hurt her mentally then its best to stay away. If you were just being a dick then go contact her. Ive see a lot of good friendships form men just being dicks to women. Rehab makes them clean thus making them easier to talk to.
