Use It
    #23790065 - 10/31/16 10:36 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

In the past, when I've had too much sugar, I felt bad and would just go lie down or try to sleep it off.

Now I know, to use it to my advantage.. it's a sugar rush.. no reason to feel bad, just use it to be more productive, get things done - an energy increase. I know this sounds obvious but I'm just realizing this. It's like someone doing meth and being upset that they have tons of energy.. and spend the trip trying to get out of it.

I realize now, that this is a drug that is getting me high, and I should enjoy the high and use it for it's benefits, not be upset that I got high... and feel guilty about it...

Anyway.

I find sugar to be (no offense to anyone) a very effective dumbing down agent.

Needless to say I avoid it like the plague, because I've seen it make people "edgy". Low patience, low attention span, trembling, fidgeting.

In the body, it breaks down to glucose (awesome, withing normal doses, bad in overdose, see sugar spike and the ensuing sugar crash how it affects insulin) and fructose, which the body has massive issues dealing with, there's effects on liver, blood flow, all manner of stuff.

If you can se That Sugar Film (available in full on YouTube, right now at least) you'll see what I mean

Personally I treat it like alcohol, I don't buy it, don't use it, look down upon it, as a cheap stupid-making drug of the masses. Yesterday I got offered to taste some nice home made cake thing, the cake looked OK but it was literally covered in white powdered sugar. I just saw it as "stupid food" and said no thanks. It was on the table, within field of view, for all of the massage class that I was at, at no point did I feel tempted.

Same for chocolate. It was there, I just focused on the sugar in it, and how it's more for what I consider the ignorant masses. I love cocoa, it's wonderful for the brain, but I eat it in my food, not dunked in sugar.

These associations we make in our heads with various foodstuffs, they're very very flexible

Oh and just for bonus points, I look for sugar cravings in others (there are signs, much like a smoker down on nicotine, same behavior, it's all Dopamine craving, manifests in the same restless finger movements, foot tapping, impatient searching with the eyes for sources) and use them when I see them.

I've picked girls up from this (because what they look for can be expanded to "something sweet" not necessarily sweets or ice cream) and when I see it in guys I know I can have a field day with them, because they've wrecked their own patience and staying power, they can't handle reality too well without the next fix, whereas I am used to months and years of just food and water, my limbs are chill while theirs are trembling and craving that consumption-based Dopamine release

I have seen a while ago, have seen this in a dude, older than I am, he was actively asking "do you have any juice at all?" (water was available, he could hydrate just fine, but he needed juice, sugar) and the next time he came around he actually brought his own 2 liter of juice to have there. When I see that I know he's a sugar addict, he's using the Dopamine spikes from the sugar to mask deeper emotional issues (maybe lack of Serotonin and Oxytocin). Not a healthy game to play on the long run, for many many reasons.

Sugar is great. Booze is great. Weed is great. Shrooms are great. Meth is great. Cocaine is great. Opiates are great. Water is great. Dopamine is great.

All in moderation.
