The Endless Chase for Things 1

Microdosed on a bit of shrooms today, then sat in bed and meditated. No music, eyes closed, feeling warm and cuddly.
As my brainwaves slowed down and I met that shroom silence again, it hit me, holy smokes I'm hyper! I mean not right now at this time, but in general, I was seeing memories of just how I do things in general, at home or outside, and it's not just doing the actions themselves, in a zen clear-headed way, it's doing the action AND thinking of the 10,000 things at the same time.
I'm not just opening fridge taking out food making a sandwich. I'm doing that AND think of this and that and the other, this endless constant multitasking while awake, almost all the time.
A good two years now since I meditate, wear ear plugs outside to avoid spam and needless traffic noise getting in, I'm MUCH more mentally quiet than the others, and also than my younger self, and STILL this endless incessant stream of restless brain activity, it just hit me, became apparent.
I can only conclude that more unlearning is in order (A man of Tao unlearns something every day), more focus on absolutely simple actions, doing them one by one, in SLOOW mindful rhythm. Walk on stairs. Open door. Wash hands. Breathe. Walk back. Clean. Rest. Focus. Breathe.
It's as if I've been keeping a thousand tabs open in my head all the time, like the rest are all doing it, short attention span, fast focus changes, always busy-busy, fidgeting, restless, ADHD, oh boy oh boy, gimme gimme, chase chase chase for this that and the other.
Also have seen how I've been chasing for sex for instance, as a way to get those short moments of just being at peace after an orgasm. It dawned on me, how ludicrous it was, decades of chase and running, sometimes quite intense, extreme, getting really drained and noisy, in order to get something whose main purpose is to give inner peace (at least for a while).
Amazing, the kind of things we don't notice, when we're too busy chasing carrots

So you take a shit on me for being in a similar state all the time (without even needing drugs for it), then you post this
Wow. Ok. I mean...somebody's not connecting the dots here, and it's not me

How much does it help that you feel that you are more mentally quiet than the others? Me and them, They hey what happened to network?
Btw. Have you ever practiced yin yoga? It's quite wonderful for slowing down among other things.
It's easy start to chase inner peace, try to calm sea even if there is no danger and boat floats great, of course it's good not to make moves that aren't necessary. Yet all the time somewhere beneath, grain of sand with grains of sand makes base of the sea, sit together as one, still in silence.

Have you seen your thread lately? A loooot of restlessness going on there, 4 posts at a time, here and there, fidgety stuff, at least from where I'm looking.
Also, am not into scat play, or whatever they call shit enthusiasts these days, I just came to play normal bird games, songs and dances, no shit included

Network is fine, we're all fish in it, some swim calm, with large strokes, some swim restless, with fast noisy strokes zig zag all over the place, but we all swim in the same water

I am moving away from formal practices like Qi Gong, Tai Chi or even Yoga, as for the most part I am practicing my own Aztec stuff, as received from above (and from past lives) and that's more instinctive, "breaking free from technique" kinda thing. It does work, and so far I've seen it to be more powerful (for me) than "from the head" or "from a book" techniques are for others.
But kudos to you if Yin Yoga works for you, there are many facets to the large crystal, many ways to reach the top of the mountain and the peaceful stillness there

Why would I want to CHASE and TRY? Sounds very noisy

Anyway thanks for the replies you both, have a fun day

Wear ear plugs? are you running away from the world or trying to hide from it? There is no difference between traffic noises and birds sounds. Everything that you hear or generally experience is what the universe is doing.
You run from modernization, trying to be spiritual, in that I see no difference between a very "materialistic" person who's chasing money and power all day. It's the same ego game, just in other terms.
You say you don't want to CHASE or TRY, and I can understand you, but than again you say:

You are trying too much. Trying is the opposite from rest, peace. You cannot "not try" either which is a form of action.
Eventually there is nothing you can do but leave the rough water to settle because all you do right now is keep stirring it up.

Mindfulness definitely a good move.
Life is now, waiting for your input.
Idle thought is essentially apathy.
Life is now, get with it. No more waiting, you must always be doing something.
You must always be doing something . . . it never ends.

No difference to you perhaps
Dust and germs are a part of life, but to grow shrooms you need sterile technique. All organisms are in a way, a process of filtering out what's not them, not their frequency. Keeping the signal clear.
My meditations told me to focus and expand my connection with a certain range of stimuli (silence, nature, strong clear signals) and avoid others (noise, repetitive engines, weak incessant signals like news, fast verbalizing, which express and trigger a certain brainwave range).
You play it like you play it, I play it like I play it. I have vast knowledge behind what I do and why I wear those ear plugs. There are dietary changes to this as well. I don't take in noise for the same reason I don't breathe cig smoke, drink alcohol or coffee, or eat sugar. I'm going somewhere, and have my diet of foods and sounds and other inputs to support my voyage there

And you my friend, have not got it. I'll say this and leave it at this

Exactly! I was not suggesting chase and try. You got my message back wards. Some deeper reading or thought and it would have been obvious.

Hmm, indeed
Well it seems I've read that whole text American style, fast and furious, and replied with snap judgement. Oh well, better late than never
Also Jung has a fun little image that I like about this, speaking of why sometimes our waters are restless on the surface

I sometimes smoke, sometimes drink, sometimes eat sugar. other times I don't. Sometimes I enjoy being in nature, other times I enjoy listening to the city symphony. It just happens, "I" force nothing.
If you're not doing the "bad" stuff just because you don't, good for you. But if you try to avoid things, fighting to always be on the "right" side, you'll be exhausted.
Mushrooms need sterile environment, but who says mushrooms are better the trich? They both need to exist, simultaneously.
The world is round my friend, living the moment is the complete opposite of what you do, IMO.
You can play it as you wish, same as your way and my way are needed for the game to be interesting.
Best wishes.

There's no fighting, I do these things because that's what came to me to do. I've seen people who avoid chocolate or ice cream but you can see that they pretty much long for it. I do no such thing. I don't partake as I don't crave. Sugar, booze or noise.

The mushroom itself. The being that has chosen its path as a mushroom, will tend towards sterile technique or pile of shit or whatever it is. If I were a fish I'd favor water, if I were a gazelle I'd favor grass. If I were a dung beetle I'd hope to find shit everywhere
In terms of consumption patterns, people with roughly similar levels of noise gravitate towards each other, smokers around smoking, heroin junkies around shooting up, meditators and yoga people around their stuff, it's all a nice balanced ecosystem, one can just choose their favorite niche in it and play.

You feel free to hold any opinion you wish. I for one know that the earplugs are useful for sound selection, as eyelids are for light, as raincoats and umbrellas are for keeping water out, to have some choice as to when taking a shower. You can smoke and drink, shoot up if you feel like it, that's all fine, you'll reap it as you sow it. I will as well
